Not as good as the old ones from when I was little - detail is via stickers which are already peeling. The old ones had detail which was properly moulded and colored in plastic. Still great additions to a set, though.

Really worth money

Water tower building quite realistic, but small house and small huts less so. Water tower for locos poor as it doesn't really fit together propoerly and is loose. Overall not the best value that money can buy.

Great addition to an ever growing set

I ordered this for my grandson who was delighted. However the top half of the water tower would not fit the bottom half. I registered my complaint and Amazon promptly replaced the item which arrived today. However this second one has the same problem and rather than return the second item, we are glueing the 2 pieces together as we feel that another replacement would just repeat the fault and we don`t want the inconvenience of returning it twice. Also I feel it is expensive for what it is though I know Hornby is not cheap.
