Crazy fast yeast - using it for wine instead of distillation base, haven't tasted final brew yet
This yeast really is "turbo". I'm using it for homemade wine although it says it's more for creating alcohol bases for distilling. My first gallon had me worried because after I set it up, I came back the next morning and didn't see any bubbles, turns out it finished the sugar overnight. After giving it a quick shake it ended up spilling from all the carbonation. Added some more sugar and 15 minutes later it was bubbling this much (see vid). I tried some of the overflowing foam and it was alright, but it was only on it's first 12 hours. Gotta wait the full length to really know if the taste is good. Might need to kill the yeast earlier than 22% if you don't want ultra-dry wine.

Bad yeast, worse clearing agent
I bought this in order to fix a stall. It initially dropped the gravity .002 points then stopped. It stopped producing at 14.175% ABV. I heard that this yeast can produce "off flavors" so I thought "they have a clearing agent so I'll use it." I ended up wasting 2 gallons of wine because of the way it works. The claim that it was high alcohol tolerant was wrong, a blatant lie, the fact of my outcome with this product is enough for anyone to avoid it. Fortunately I was able to salvage an entire season of blackberry picking. I rebuke this product by the power of the holy ghost.

You learn as you go.
Our package with the bulk champagne yeast was lost in the mail. We were on a bit of a time crunch.....so we got this to make sure that we had all 10 gallons our holiday Mead ready to ship to family and friends. Firstly, it works just fine. 28% ABV and the taste is surprisingly crisp and great even at that high level. Clean your stuff and handle your wash as if germs are fighting to get in. Temperature is super important, from when you throw in the yeast to the entire fermentation journey. The reason we gave 3 stars is all about the liquid carbon. It doesn't clear. Clearing agents A & B are filthy little liars. Black Mead. Bad stuff..... We extended time, agitated, reracked, agitated, reracked, used egg whites (decently effective if you end up where we did and did you know the french still do it?....) until we were finally able to bottle after 3 weeks of craziness trying to get rid of the gritty purple *stuff* that we made 10 gallons of. It has been triple filtered and has made huge progress. Currently our mead is a pale golden color and is mostly clear. There is still a hint of a slight gray hue, but only if you look for it. The flavor is really great, and we will actually be using turbo yeast again for our holiday batches. But, we will NEVER use the liquid carbon or clearing agents again. Ever. Never.

As an avid homebrewer, I’ve experimented with a myriad of brewing ingredients, and I must say, the ABC Crafted Series Extreme Turbo Yeast Alcobase stands in a class of its own. This product has truly revolutionized the way I brew, and it's a pleasure to share how it has transformed my brewing experience. The first thing that struck me about the ABC Crafted Series is the sheer quality of alcohol it produces. The promise of "triple distilled" quality alcohol in the comfort of your own home might seem too good to be true, but let me assure you, it’s not. The product delivers exactly what it promises, and the results are genuinely impressive. The alcohol produced has a clean, refined taste, a testament to the high-quality yeast and nutrient complex contained within the pack. The Extreme Turbo Yeast Alcobase is also remarkably versatile, making it an ideal choice for all sorts of homemade spirits and liqueurs. Whether I'm brewing a high ABV spirit or a fast-fermenting alcohol base, the turbo yeast works wonders. The flexibility of using either 8 kg of sugar for a high ABV or 6 kg for a faster fermenting process allows me to adjust my brews according to my needs and preferences. One notable feature of this product is the inclusion of new mineral absorbents, which further enhances the distillate quality. This thoughtful addition confirms that ABC has really considered the needs of homebrewers and goes the extra mile to ensure the final product is of the highest quality possible. Another aspect that makes the ABC Crafted Series a game-changer is its complete nutrient complex. This means you don’t have to worry about the mineral profile of your water – the yeast provides everything it needs to thrive and deliver an excellent brew, even when using tap water. This is a great convenience and one less thing to worry about during the brewing process. The packaging is also worth mentioning. The product is neatly packed, with clear instructions making it user-friendly, even for beginners. It's also commendable that the pack includes yeast, carbon, and clearing agents, everything you need to get started on your brewing journey. Finally, I must commend ABC for its commitment to sustainable practices by packaging its product in Europe, thereby reducing the product's carbon footprint. In conclusion, the ABC Crafted Series Extreme Turbo Yeast Alcobase is an exceptional product for both novice and seasoned homebrewers. It is user-friendly, versatile, and, most importantly, results in a superior quality brew. It's no wonder that it's the number one selling turbo yeast in North America. If you're passionate about home brewing, this product is a must-have.

This was my first time using yeast and sugar to make alcohol and my expectations were low, but I've ended up with nice quality product before distillation. It smells sweetly and contains fair amount of ABV. Not sure why description says 20% ABV, but using 23L bucket with 8kg of sugar gave me (original gravity)OG=1.124 and after 9 days of fermentation I ended up with (final gravity)FG=0.994 which is 17% ABV. My clearing process took 3 days, but I guess it could be longer if you want better quality. First image is before adding clearing reagents, 2nd and 3rd are after 2 days.

It was my first homebrew attempt other than rice wine. The recipe was for a 6 gallon fermenter instead of a 5, which I had so I put in 6gk of sugar instead of the 8kg the instructions said. The bubbler was so active it was almost funny, then when it stopped it stopped quickly. Its like a car that can accelerate and brake from 0-100-0 really fast. The taste of the finished product is far better than I expected. Worked as advertised.

Instructions say fermentation takes a week or so. Mine took almost 3 weeks. When it was done, I tasted it and it was extremely sweet. So, alcohol was not as promised/expected. Dumped it in the drain, money and time wasted. Undrinkable sugary goop.
