Painted metal, unlevel weld
The design on this thing is great and I want to love it, but there are two significant flaws with it: they painted the metal and the weld on the grill is not level (crooked). The attached picture is after the first use of the griddle. The surface was painted and all of that paint peeled off, onto the potatoes we were trying to cook. I personally do not like paint in my food, nor would I ever opt to season it with paint. The crooked weld on the grill portion I would be willing to forgive, but it is significant enough that the sausages wanted to roll off to the low side.If this product was offered in iron or in not-painted steel, and the grill weld was level, this would be a 5-star item. If you don't think either of those two issues will bother you, you'll love this.

Not thrilled
It totally ruined our breakfast and wasted a whole meal. We washed it throughly by hand before camping. 3 days later we were on camp site. Butter melted nicely, but when we flipped the pancakes they were black. Apparently a top coat of paint or something came off in almost a oil slick like way where the center of the griddle was made hot. Why would a grill be manufactured with anything that comes off with heat? It's just plain not usable the stand and grill are still "usable" if you cook on it with a separate pan.

Paint melts on flat top griddle!
The grill top and flat top griddle both worked really well from a functional perspective over an open campfire. The weld on the flat top is a little off so I had to tilt the pole forward about 20 degrees to get the flat top level. Adjusted well to control the heat. HOWEVER, I WILL BE RETURNING THIS. I was really disappointed when I was using the griddle and when I reached temp, the black paint melted and scraped off into my food. Really concerned about the safety of this grill as it easily came off into our eggs even with a rubber spatula. II would not recommend this product for that reason alone. Many other reviewers had a similar issue and I wish I had read more of them before pulling the trigger on this.

only partially impressed
I was excited to receive my grill so quickly. But when I opened the shipping box to reveal another made in china product I was a little disappointed. what really disappointed me was when I opened the box and removed the grill I found that the box contained 2 bottom stake and not a complete pole system that the grill hangs on. I am waiting on a return call to see how this will be remedied.

Held up as expected, with a little tweaking
We picked up this grill set during covid to set up in our yard as a fire pit. Felt the primary support post was a little flimsy and didn't want to anchor it into our patio stone. We opted to create a new post for it out of gas pipe that is heat resistant and embed the end of it into a portable cement puck that would allow us to shift and adjust the grill as needed on our patio. We've done approximately 25 meals on the grill over the course of the summer. It has developed some minimal warping due to the high heat but that is expected. So far the finish has held up wonderfully and I have recommended it to everybody I know. As far as the griddle pan goes I haven't really used it for more than a warming tray holding the cooked food away from over cooking. We do plan on using this grilll set through the winter as the weather permits. Would definitely seek this out and buy it again if I ever needed a replacement. Four Stars for the flimsy Post It came with.

Awesome grill set up for open fire cooking!!!!
My family and I love to camp. This thing is strong and sturdy. ( But remember to get the pole into the ground good enough). But other than that awesome to cook breakfast lunch and dinner. Top part for burgers, dog , and if you bring chicken even works for that. The bottom part is awesome for breakfast.. can cook bacon and sausage and eggs all at once and heck of your talent enough even pancakes. I would recommend this for any camper that love the open fire cooking.Ps. Remember to wipe it down after using if you are not going to wash it right away... I find it easier to clean if you and the family get busy doing something right after the meal.

Easy to assemble, use and clean.
just purchased this for a weekend of camping and it worked great. Easy to assemble, easy to cook on and easy to clean. Made Hotdogs and sausage on the open griddle and eggs and bacon on the solid griddle. I also heateda pot of chili and beef stew that were frozen solid. Highly recommend for open pit cooking.

Not bad, not great either.
This grille is not exactly what I expected. It does do the job, although it requires some modifications unless you want your food to slide off into the fire. The center pin the chain connects to does not balance the rack at all. I had to add a chain going to each corner of the grille. Once I had the extra chain to the right length and fastened, I just eliminated the center pin as there was no longer a need for it. I would suggest to the manufacturer to remove the center pin and put a chain (or cable) going to each corner for much better stability and less complaints about losing food into the fire. 3 stars.
