This is a well made item which works very well as a handheld masher. The potato peeler was an added bonus. I prefer this method of potato mashing. Great for making broccoli soup as well.

Overall manufacture quality is excellent. I own one of the newer mashers, that has a round flat plate with large holes. It does the job, but I was raised using these old fashioned mashers. Beyond nostalgia, I find this type of masher to be faster and easier to use. AND much easier to clean. Also, I feel it's easier to judge the degree of lumpiness of the mash. I prefer my mashed potatoes to have various bits of potatoes. But that is a personal preference. I've used this type of masher to create silky smooth mashed potatoes, key is butter and cream/milk. And the bonus peeler was a nice extra. So far, no issues with either cooking tool. Highly recommend this to anyone seeking traditional tried and true masher.

we have gone through a few mashers that claim they are strong and tuff. some broke another masher because we are kinda hard on them with all the veggies we cook. for the price i said why not. got this and the next night we mashed up 20 pounds of spuds, 5 pounds of acorn squash and creamed up some corn for the family. this masher did not bend, come apart or lose its shape. the wife loved it. it is made of thick wire that holds its shape. the handle has a comfortable fit. now for the price it is a 1/3rd of kitchen aid. after purchase the company---spring chef contacted me. all spring chef has a lifetime warranty. i will be going through their other products page and see what i can order. GREAT QUALITY, LOW PRICE AND LIFETIME WARRANTY???????? DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT

I bought this for the masher. It's sturdy and gets the job done. Easy to clean.

Needed a potato masher but saw that this one came with a vegetable peeler, I thought to myself well I need a new one of those anyways. You cant go wrong with 2 for 1 and the price was great. Now that I have used both products I can say they are wonderful!!!! My mashed potatoes came out perfect and took little to no work now. And my vegetables are being peeled in faster time frames. Well worth the purchase. I am a happy customer and would recommend to all! I wish I would have purchased sooner.
