Great mesh for windows and doors
This wonderful product has the hole diameters and softness of screen door mesh. They send a pair of gloves, which really isn't necessary, but a nice touch. The weather strip could be longer, but is really just a bonus. My Ace Hardware "mesh" was more like chicken wire and DID cut my hands. Score 1 for Amazon! and whatever Chinese outfit that was involved.I use this to cover my vents so the ferrets don't get too curious. A cordless drill will shred the material. To fasten to drywall or wood, use nails or staples. On carpet, Gorilla-brand duct tape will hold in place.Edit 6 months later: just want to add that the material is durable and has held up with nails to anchor into moulding and staples for dry wall. I successfully used rivets to attach to sheet metal radiator. I don't understand the low rating. This product is a gem for almost amy conceivable size.

A perhaps unexpected use for this wire mesh
This stainless steel screen material is promoted as a rodent barrier material but I got it for an entirely different purpose. I cleaned the the aluminum mesh filter on my range hood using a strong caustic oven cleaner, which was a mistake, because it dissolved the aluminum material. So I was stuck with trying to find a replacement filter. Well good luck. Apparently there is no such thing as "standard" filter sizes for range hoods and every maker seems to have their own unique filter dimension. I was unable to find a replacement filter of the size needed. So I decided to make my own filter using the original filter frame. I took this stainless steel screen, cut it to a size so I could fold it to make multiple layers sandwiched together, removed the damaged filter and installed the multi-layer screen in the original aluminum channel frame. It seems to work fine. Time will tell, I guess. But that is one new use for this versatile product. The screen came rolled in tube so no problem with the packaging reported by some customers.

It withstood my cat's attempt to claw through it
My felines have learned that a plastic screening is no impediment to their exit or entry. This is metal and withstood initial attempts at penetration. The screening held up nicely without a very noticeable shredding or failure. I was pleased with that and that's why I bought it. Success!

Doesn't rust or sun rot.
I used a part of the screen to make a suction strainer for my fire department grass rig. It will be good as it won't corrod and is fine enough to keep out the mos and dirt that can plug or fire nozzles when getting water from a cattle tank or pond.
