This is a great quality Horween Chromexcel leather watch strap IMO, especially for $25. I will DEFINITELY be ordering more in different colors and buckle colors in the near future! The quality is very good, the stitching is as well, the thickness is just right and still flexible for being that thick and you can tell its DEFINITELY Horween Chromexcel leather just from the scent/smell of it!!! I have numerous much more expensive leather watch straps (Craft and Lore Black NATO that was $110 + shipping), and my absolute FAVORITE leather watch strap (Ashland Leather Horween Black Shell Cordovan $89/shipped and worth EVERY penny), but for just $25, I don't think you can find a nicer looking, great quality HORWEEN Chromexcel strap. I actually challenge you to find a better one for $25/shipped LoL 😁😉 The ONLY thing I have anything remotely close to saying bad about it, is that the second, free-moving strap keeper is really big around and wouldn't stay in place. It would keep coming off the end of the strap. But that was certainly no big deal to me at all, I just put some Gorilla Glue on the inside of the buckle part of the strap and glued it in place since I only need it in one buckle hole to be comfortable all day long with my wrist swelling and shrinking constantly (and that's with 3 extra holes at the end of the strap. However, if you have a smaller wrist, the second keeper probably wouldn't move around at all, and if you have a larger wrist than my 7.5" wrist, you won't need the second keeper at ALL because the one that's sewn into place will be perfect for you. But please take that with a grain of salt, because I might've stretched it that big around myself, or i just got one with a bigger second keeper. So PLEASE don't let that deter you from buying these awesome Horween Chromexcel straps!!! And if its like mine, it took me a total of less than 5 minutes to determine where I wanted to glue my second keeper and applying the glue. Then I just let it dry and bond for about 48 hours and now its absolutely PERFECT for me and my wrist!!! Oh and another thing worth mentioning. This is made from one long piece of leather and then folded in half and glued together. I've put mine through the ringer already, and it has held up wonderfully so far. Not a BIT of it has come apart anywhere and they glued it so well that I don't think it ever will come apart. In fact, if you didn't know any better, youd never know its glued together. And since it is folded together and glued, it basically makes the inside of the strap "lined" and therefore more comfortable IMO 😎👍✌️🙏 I use some Craft and Lore leather balm on mine every few weeks and now my khaki strap has turned a beautiful dark caramel brown and has AMAZING patina. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend these straps (as well as all of my other Hemsut leather watch straps), and I think they're a phenomenal value for $25) shipped. I have over 60-70+ watch straps alone for my 30+ watches, and this is one of my favorites and probably will be for a very long time. That's the beauty of FULL grain leather, and especially Horween leather, because they really do get better with age! And if something happens to mine over time, I would spend another $25 on these instantly and plan to buy many more of them in the future!!!

I wanted this strap for my Hamilton Khaki Aviation. The band is thick, about 3.8 mm, but was softer than expected. I have well worn straps that are much older that I thought were broken in but nowhere near as soft as this out of the bag. After a couple of days on the wrist, it is even softer. It is closer to a well worn NATO than a leather. It almost feels like you are not wearing a watch. It is like a second skin. It is easy to change straps with the quick release. It was packaged with a spring bar tool, extra QR Spring bar and an extra keeper. I would have to assume this is genuine Horween. It smells like leather. I cannot attest to long term durability, the thickness would make me think that it will last. It will work well on a tool watch. The keepers are soft and some reviews say feel flimsy, but I think it is the softness that makes them feel that way. THey are still fairly thick. If anything they may stretch a little. They are made from the same leather as strap, but only one layer. I think it is the thickness of rest of the strap that makes them feel a little less durable. If anything they may stretch a little but unless you are careless, I do not think they would tear. I have gotten it wet a few times and it seems to hold up fine. The brushed silver buckle is unsigned but feels well made. I will try to revisit in a few months, but I do not foresee any issues with the durability. It fits my 8" wrist with with 2-3 holes to spare so it might not work well if you are under 7". I was thinking of buying one for about $100 but I think I would rather get four of these for other watches. It is slightly stiffer but still very soft. The edges are smooth and the color is consistant. I bought a second strap in black fully stitched version that I will try to review after I wear it a little more. But I will probably end up with a copuple more of these for other watches! If you are looking for a soft durable casual strap, this is highly recommended.

When I was looking for a new watch band and came across a Horween leather strap at this price I figured I had to give it a try. I am very happy with the quality of the leather and the strap so far. The thickness of the leather strap is perfect and pretty supple from the start. It look great. It's refined enough to pair with my Oriental Bambino but casual enough to dress it down to more of an every day wear kind of watch. My only complaint (and I've seen other reviewers mention this) but the small loops that hold the excess band material in place are rather thin and stretchy and I fear that they will fail long before the rest of the strap. One last thing is that this strap wears rather large on my wrist. I do have a smaller wrist, but I am in the last notch so if the band stretches I may be out of luck.

I'm not a leather aficionado so I had no clue what Horween Chromexcel Leather was, or why it was special. I looked it up and its supposed to be a high quality leather, great that still doesn't mean much to me. What I can tell you as a lay person is that this band is very comfortable, it is a little thicker than the original, but not enough for me to notice, not even while typing. The look is definitely professional, I got the Wine Red-Black and it has aged well. The strings are still in great condition. The buckle looks like its anodized rather than painted, and despite daily removal and 'not so gentle' use it has only one super tiny scratch that I only now noticed because I am writing the review, so no issues with durability. After the first couple of days I noticed that the band was being compressed where the buckle sits. I was worried that those sections would get weak and eventually fail, however the opposite has happened. Those compressed areas became slightly harder than the leather around it, and thus far has not caused any weak points or a floppy strap. In-fact this had an overall positive effect as it reduced the overall height of the watch strap while being worn. The watch is much more water resistant than the original leather strap that came with the Galaxy 3. This strap is two pieces of leather glued together 'fuzzy side' to 'fuzzy side' so that the smooth face is both on the inside and outside of the band, this side does not absorb as much water. Even after dunking my wrist in the tub while washing my daughter, a quick towel dry is enough to make it wearable, where as with the original I had to take it off and let it dry for a few hours before I could wear it. After a month and a half of wearing this band, I am happy with it, and will be keeping it as my 'daily driver'. Nice strap, loved the color & leather. Problem is that the strap is two pieces glued together and they separated on the “holes” side. Bummer.

If you're looking for a high-quality 'Horween' leather watch band, then this is the one to buy. I bought another (so called) leather band for $17 but it was really thin and the inside wasn't leather. The outer leather part looked okay but you can sure tell the difference when you look at this one beside it. This band uses a strip of horween leather that wraps around the watch quick-release pins to create a double thickness strap. The pins will fail before this leather breaks! The leather is loaded with the tanning oils and you can see it when you bend the strap. The leather they use for this band is top grade. Trust me...spend a couple more dollars and get this watch band.

I have several of these branded Horween leather straps for various colors, sizes, and years. Felt like it was time for a review. My most recent purchase was the one pictured above. It’s an 18mm regular (standard) length ‘tanned’ or ‘natural’ color. The color is slightly darker then the product shot initially out of package but it lightens to the natural color. It definitely is a shade that isn’t khaki light but it is lighter than the brown color they offer. The versions I received this year were considerably thicker than the ones from prior years. It could be slightly difficult to secure the strap when fastening due to its thickness and due to the keepers being slightly tight. So far no issues of breaking the keepers. Of note they do give you a spare keeper too. Also of note is the Horween stamp is on the inside of the strap of this variant. Prior versions of these straps did not have the embossed stamp. There leather on the inside is the same color as the outside. No extra black layer or tan layer. The buckle and tang are fine. I like these most compared to buckles from other sellers. It’s brush finished and the brushing is done well. It’s secure and does its job. Overall very good value at this time. To summarize it’s soft but not too soft. There is no stiffness at all and with the quick release ease of installation will be welcome from those who don’t want to bother with tools.

The quality seemed to be pretty good, but the color wasn't even close to that as shown on the screen. In real life it is a very dull dusty looking brown, rather than the golden brown color (with highlights) as shown. Perhaps I just got a bad one?
