Buy it!!!!
I played flute in school, and had a very nice Yamaha. I traded it in for a different instrument and recently started to miss playing, but didn’t want to drop 2K. So I bought this! Tuning is easy, tone sounds good, no sticking keys. It does come with wax (please do not use the wax, your flute does not need it.) There hasn’t been any quick tarnishing or discoloration which is good to see! This is a great deal! If you’re someone who misses playing or is a beginner, this is a perfect option. (I would buy some plugs if you are a beginner!)

not recommended for outdoor use
I am an amateur, I compare this flute with my student Yamaha. Have been playing 20 years. It is unusually sensitive to moisture. The tone is slightly tinnier sound than my yamaha student flute, but acceptable. I used this on a recent backpacking trip, in the coastal redwoods. Flutes can become unplayable outdoors depending on the humidity. Sometimes with my yamaha I lose the low C note when playing outdoors on humid days. I'm not sure whether the pads swell or what causes this. With this flute, on a humid morning when I really wanted to play, the bottom c through g notes would not play at all. Cleaning with the rod and cloth did not restore operation. I could not get it to play. I thought it was broken, the following morning it was able to play again. Works fine in the house, but I can't recommend for outdoor use. If you do purchase this, be sure to buy the optional extended warranty. (I purchased a clarinet that required minor filing and grinding to adjust a couple of keys when it was new, then it stopped playing one note after a few months. With the extended warranty, it was refunded immediately and I was able to purchase an instant replacement.) I think that with these lower cost instruments, they are a true bargain, but it can be hit and miss with the quality and an extended warranty gives great peace of mind.

BEWARE OF BUYING
flute itself is okay, but after around 2 months, the tarnish gets SO BAD, and you need to really clean the flute. It was okay, but i dont really use it cuz of how bad it lowk got. functions well and is not rlly out of tune, and took me abt a couple days to get a complete sound, lowk regret spending 100 dollars cause it lowk stinks, and the tarnish is bad (ive cleaned it really well so idk where the stink comes from.)
