The birds in our garden absolutely love this product, and the refills are so handy to use once you've already got the feeders set up in your garden. We've got these on subscription because they're so popular and we have hours of entertainment watching from our window. The larger birds (starlings, jackdaws magpies, rooks) tend to get to them first, taking big chunks out at a time, but when it's a little emptier then only the smaller birds (Robins, Tits, Finches) can get right into the feeder to empty it so it works for all.

Birds love this flutter butter.
The birds love this, used quite a few last year, now it’s winter, the sparrows and blue tits are already giving me the evil eye, they land on the empty one and look towards the window 😉

Birds love it
Birds love it, especially during nesting season, easy to feed babies. Good value & great quality. Would have been five stars but didn’t come with a hanging chain.

Clever design with a vacuum to hold them in place
The refills are slightly smaller than the holder they fit into, and so can be inserted (and later removed) easily. But they have been tapered so that at their widest point, at the opening, they create, when fully inserted, a vacuum that holds them in place, even when angled slightly downwards. Well thought out. The smaller birds, especially finches and tits, love the buggy nibbles. Great idea.

Birds can’t get enough of their Flutter Butter
The Birds Absolutely love their Flutter Butter, I have 3 around the garden and they empty them in about two weeks. Definitely firm favourite for my robins, tits and a star visitor, the woodpecker. They are great value and quality as my birds can be a bit picky. They are easy to change the refills in and out as they are a good size for good grip even with week hands

Can get very expensive if you have any starlings about !
A very clever concept and in practice it works really well, perhaps too well in fact ? To explain, we have a variety of birds in our garden and a very high concentration of starlings. This feeder is a starling magnet. They attack it with incredible vigour en masse and squabble noisily over their respective feeding rights. Smaller birds just don't get a look in and a refill will last no more than 48 hours max, if you are lucky. I have tried various modifications to keep them at bay but have so far failed to stop them. Unfortunately I will have to stand down this feeder as I am not paying the equivalent of about £5 a week just to keep starlings happy at the expense of all the other deserving species. So think about your local bird demographics !
