I have a small office with a similar a/c unit but was always either hot or cold because of the way the air hit me. I came across this attachment and it has made my whole world better. It literally just has stickers that you stick onto the sides but is lightweight enough to hold up. It was a really simple and inexpensive solution to my problem.

These are flimsy pieces of garbage that do not work. DO NOT BUY THESE. They consist of two pieces that join in the middle, but they do not hold together against gravity and after a short amount of time, they start to sag.

Simple device does the job, not very easy to adjust though

Not sure how they measure 42in, however, this deflector is 42in when fully extended. The arms are inset 1.5 in on both sides, so the largest unit this would fit is a 39in wide. I'm sure you can extend it with cardboard and duct tape, but at that point, might as well just use a box and tape as the deflector.

Los adhesivos son muy fuertes, o sea que no se te va a caer, prucra no instalar la barra muy pegada a la salida del aire para evitar que bloquee todo el aire. Pero es muy practico y se ajsuta a todo tipo de largo de AA

Needed a deflector asap, and I guess I'm stuck with it. Instructions are in Chinese (?). And so small that, even if they were in English, I would need a magnifying glass to read them... along with the bifocals I currently wear. It's kind of flimsy. I would reinforce it with rebar and concrete, but then it would just fall off. Maybe some woods strips and resin will reinforce it. A couple of strips of duct tape, perhaps. Maybe I can use it as a template and make one of of Indonesian plastic instead.

The handle broke easily just attaching it to the side. Very flimsy and thin. Don’t waste your money.
