Kids' Play Hat

I purchased the Sunday Afternoons Kids' Play Hat in Bluestone Terrain for my 7-year-old son, and it was a perfect choice—especially for his outdoor zoo camp this summer. This hat color looks great. It is very cute for kids. It fits well and is very comfortable. It can protect my kids from sun. Great hat and it can be folded in a small size.

Good hat that the son used all summer. He burns easily, and this hat’s full coverage helped keep him protected especially the back of his neck. He also has a hot head and this hat is very breathable. It folds up decently which is nice when he shoves it in his backpack. The hat’s print is cool also.

I love this hat but more importantly my toddler loves it too! It provides excellent coverage of her face and neck. I appreciate the adjustable size so it can grow with her for some time. She hardly complains about it and often forgets it’s there so I assume it must be comfortable. Easy to pack up in our day bag and play! It’s lasted several wash cycles as well. Overall a great purchase. Will buy again if lost or she out grows it!

My daughter has had different sizes and colors of this hat since she was a baby. Now she's 5 and it's still our go-to. It blocks the sun, it stays on, it's comfortable. As long as she's wearing a sun hat, we'll be buying this.

I’ve been looking for a good, lightweight hat with a wide brim to protect our kids from the sun. I don’t like iPlay hats because the material is too sweaty. Unfortunately, the lightweight cotton hats aren’t good for water activities and pools since they don’t dry as quickly. These hats are made of a synthetic wicking material, so they dry quickly when wet but are also breathable and have mesh venting. My kids still get sweaty running around on a sunny day but not as bad as when they wore the iPlay hats. I love the wide brim in the front and in the back. The adjustable back strap makes it convenient for growing kids. I’ll loosen it up to make some space when my daughter’s hair is in a pony tail. I also love the chin strap and how it has an easily adjustable tightener and safety release clip to prevent the hat from accidentally choking a kid. The only con is that in order to keep the shape of the wide brim, I think there is a thin piece of cardboard inside which I’m afraid will lose its structural integrity over many washings. They’ve held up well for the last 6 months as I’ve been putting them in a large mesh bag when I wash them and hang drying them - so we’ll see. Overall, a wonderful, thoughtfully designed hat for children. I assume it’s comfortable too, since my kids keep this hat on longer than any of their other sun hats. It’s a little more expensive than most sun hats but if that’s what it takes to get them to keep it on, then it’s worth it!

Great hat, well made and wide coverage. The neck flap allows you to lay the hat flat in the diaper bag, so you're always prepared to protect your child. Love the quick release to prevent choke hazard, and mesh vents to keep their head cool. And major bonus points for the dinosaurs design!

My daughter generally does not like to wear hats, but this one she accepts. Maybe because it is so lightweight it is barely noticeable? I like that it sits snug on the head, thanks to the strap for fitted form. And also the strap under the cheek helps with keeping the hat in place.

Large size works for our daughter who wore this hat at 5 years old and still wearing it into 7 year old. Drawstring helps keep it staying on. The back is long nd large enough to protect the neck. It washes easily in the machine [using a bag]. The only issue is after 2 summers, the fabric starts showing UV damage to the colour. Still works though!! The only problem is it isn't a style for older grede school kids or tweens to wear. So boys at grade 3 or higher this style of hat doesn't suit them due to the back being wavy in design....it works for younger boys who are toddlers to early grade school.

Excellent quality. My daughter has been using this hat many times a week for 4 years at the beach and everywhere and it’s still going strong. It has been washed so many times and the colour has not faded. The clips work fantastically and it being adjustable means it has fit perfectly from age 1-5.

Great hat! exactly what I was looking for, covers my sons head and neck well. I ordered a medium (2-5yrs) my Sons head circumference is 45cm, it is slightly loose even tightened to its smallest size, but that's perfect as he will obviously grow and can use it for some time. I was reluctant to get it because of the price, but its worth every penny, I would recommend it highly and will order for future children.
