Excellent solution to pencil falling off
I was afraid of losing my pencil and this was great! Keeps it in place, hole in back makes it easy to pop out and pencil stays charged. I dropped it off of a stand and it cracked the pencil holder but has held up since even with the crack. Not super heavy plastic on that particular part. This was also great because i needed to take off my ipad frequently from magic keyboard to put on music stand and it kept my device from scratching. Firm attachment to keyboard. Loved this! I do feel like it’s kind of expensive for a plastic cover but it does have the electronic connection to keyboard and I didn’t find any comparable options

Not very durable.
I bought the Cover Buddy in 2020. It is now 2022 of March. The Cover Buddy did not make it. One of the 3 magnetic connectors disappeared. When that happen my Magic Keyboard no longer worked with my iPad Pro. I could not type or take notes. I had to remove the cover buddy from my tablet to get my Magic Keyboard to work properly. Cover Buddy was not up to the challenge. Not very durable. I am currently looking for something else to replace the cover buddy. Something that will protect my tablets 4 corners /edges. Apple should come out with a silicone band (rubber band) that fits around the edges of the tablet.

Absolute overpriced brittle, fragile rubbish. Take it from someone who has 6 of them.
The plastic is extremely brittle. Mine is broken in...Let's see, let me count...1..2...3...4...5...6....8 places, and some of those places have broken multiple times. As in, they started out as a crack, then a chip, then the chip got bigger, and then bigger...You get the gist. Yep, 8 places total and counting. The fact that it's still functioning at all is nothing beyond miraculous. It started breaking within a month. The only reason I bought it is because I couldn't find anything else compatible with the keyboard. PS, between me and my teens, I have purchased 6 of these and ALL of them have broken and cracked all over the place in no time flat.

It does everything it says
It does everything it says. It’s far stronger than earlier models. Anyone giving negative reviews just don’t understand what they are buying.

Update/revision to Bad production/sturdiness
Update to below: the vendor ultimately replaced the unit free of charge. It took maybe 2 weeks but they stood behind their product. I do like the product and assume the connector issue was a one off so I would recommend the CoverBuddy. I wouldn't buy this without an extended warranty. My Amazon return window expired July 31. On August 31 one of the 3 required magnetic connectors (that connects the keyboard to the iPad) fell out. So now the cover is useless and I paid for essentially 2 months of protection. The manufacturer should stand behind their product better than that.

Great fit!
As a music teacher, I usually use my IPad Pro (12.9) for classroom teaching, music composition, or other music-related task. This case is really a great helper for me. It not only protects your iPad but also provides a convenient place to store your Apple Pencil. Especially when you often switch between the Magic Keyboard and handheld mode, having a suitable protective case is essential. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s a worthwhile investment if it fits perfectly and prevents scratches!

Overpriced Low-Quality Plastic
Definitely the worst purchase I’ve made on Amazon. It cracked my first week of using it. I’ve had it for a year now and it’s really falling apart. The only good thing about it is it’s designed well and could be a really nice product if it wasn’t so cheap. It holds my apple pencil nicely, but you’re essentially paying $40 for a thin piece of plastic. Maybe it’d be worth it if it was $5-$10 so it would be easily replaceable.

Great Functionality But…
This is a great addition to the iPad Pro when using it in conjunction with the Magic Keyboard case from Apple. Where the Magic Keyboard lacks any formal protection for the iPad this product steps in to add a thin layer over most of the body and edges. I use my iPad primarily for my college classes, and I purchased the magic keyboard in order to cultivate the perfect balance of hand written notes and typed papers. In order to take hand written notes I have to remove the iPad from the Magic Keyboard and it’s non abrasive surfaces. For me, this presents a problem. This piece of technology that I have spent a great deal of money on is now made vulnerable to damage daily. That is what motivated me to purchase the CoverBuddy; after researching all options for protection that work with the magic keyboard, this is the only one that could really work. Unfortunately, while I do believe this is a very necessary addition to the any working setup that utilizes the iPad for both typed and “by hand” writing it does not seem to be structured to last. I purchased this in late September and have used it continuously since. As can be seen in the pictures provided, the corner of this that attaches at the power and volume buttons area has cracked and broken in two places, resulting in a hanging piece that can now potentially catch and break further. This damage also seems to threaten its ability to stay on the iPad as it is at one of the two main fitment corners. Understanding that everything from or related to Apple products comes at a higher price, I do have some trouble rationalizing a $60 price point for only 4 months of protection. I have seen other reviewers note that theirs lasted nearly a year, but I wonder how they use it. Active use for me means pulling out my iPad, removing it with the Coverbuddy from my keyboard, writing notes, and putting it back together in my backpack. No hard wear and tear, or even an excessive number of uses in a given day/week. Still, my suggestion is that you buy it if you want that small amount of additional protection for your iPad as I do, but know that you will likely have to replace it with some frequency. This item is priced as a one time purchase but does not have that level of durability. EDIT 02/21/2023: Since my last submission of this review one of the magnetic pins that allows data transfer between the iPad and the Magic Keyboard has fallen out making this case ineffective. It has been less than six months of regular, gentle, use and this case has cracked and lost functionality. Not worth $60 when it must be replaced regularly.

There are quite as few mixed reviews for this case. I wanted something to protect my IPad when connected to the magic keyboard and also to keep the Apple Pencil secure. This case appears to be the only case on the market at the moment that does what I want it to do. I was dubious about ordering one as some say the magic keyboard doesn’t close properly. Well I am happy to confirm it does close with this case on. It fits perfectly and is very secure with the magnets. The Apple Pencil also fits securely as well, which is exactly what I wanted. I think this must be the upgraded version. All cut outs are in the right place, any yes, my Apple charger fits securely with the case on. The only very minor gripe is accessing the volume buttons, although they are accessible, you have to use the tip of your finger / finger nail to increase and decrease the volume due to the start of the compartment for the Apple Pencil. Is it worth £39.99? Well it does seem rather expensive for what it is, however I am keeping it as it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Would I recommend it, ‘yes’ is the answer.
