Red Star DADY 1 Lb. Distiller's Yeast-2 Packs

Being it is an aggressive yeast it produces a slight metallic taste in the distilled product. The results are phenomenal. Very good product for beginners. Very hard to accidentally kill this yeast in the fermenting process.

These bags are huge. (2) Way more than I thought would be in them. Low price and great quality. Sealed perfectly and the yeast was very fast acting and the taste was quality. I received item quickly.

Should be awesome

I was concerned about this when I ordered it based on all the reviews that said the yeast was dead. I received it and nope, it works and is yielding as expected. Thanks! Update... ok, so I purchased these 6 mos ago, opened one bag to use. Both were double sealed in zip locks and in a fridge at 40°. Today, went to use and opened bag was very inactive. There was some activity, but nothing like originally. I researched and found after opening, it can go bad in 4 - 6 mos. I love the yeast, but I would recommend only buying 1 bag at a time, or smaller bags for the home user. The photo is the old bag to the left after an hour of trying to get it active, the right is 20 minutes of the new bag.

I couldn’t use that much before it expires. Even if I freeze it I’d (after three years) still have some left. Good deal if all of your baking and brewing require that much.

The yeast is really good and the price is the best I’ve seen. Good for a lot of things you make. I will keep using this yeast.
