Worked well for me!
I purchased this pump for a DIY AC compressor replacement project. The vacuum pump and manifold gauge set did the job well and have served me on two additional repair projects since then! Noise level is good, easy to use, light weight, and accurate readings.

Decent tool for light duty. Surprisingly good customer service
I got the 4.5cfm pump and gauges with four hoses. It's decent quality, pump runs nice and quiet, pulls a vacuum pretty fast too. Gauges are gauges, they work, they don't leak. What do you want from me? Mine had a defective high side connector. When I unscrewed the valve it kinda blew right the past fully open detent and fell apart. Be careful of that. The amazing thing is that I emailed them and they sent me a new connector. Shipped it DHL from China, only took a few days to get here. I never expected such good service. I did discover that the adapter for the can of r134a was threaded poorly. It immediately cross threaded and, with very little effort, a ring of brass came off. I just tossed that and used my own adapter, but I did have to buy a couple brass pieces to adapt my adapter to these hoses. I don't know why these hoses are a different thread. Didn't matter, a whole bunch of thread tape and it's sealed. Anyway, if you know how to deal with random issues and make things work, you'll be fine. If you are expecting something to do all the work for you, you'll need to spend at least double or triple this amount. I like it, I have already fixed up two cars and they're blowing cold. And to all the people complaining about the seals: stop over-tightening everything.

Good kit
Just finished a vacuum and fill on my truck, kit worked great. The can fitting worked fine for me, managed to empty two cans completely and quickly. Now my vent blows damn cold. My only gripe is that my high pressure side (red) hose did end up leaking as it cooled. High side system pressure was a pretty mild 200psi and that line froze up and started releasing refrigerant so I could no longer monitor the high pressure side without losing refrigerant. The leak was not at any threaded connection, it was the spot where the hose is crimped onto the fitting. Still a good kit but sucks that I'll need to swap out the hose or run it blind.

The VAC & REF knobs are reversed & the can valve punched the can's valve into the can!
The black hose & knob are labeled VAC which I foolishly assumed was for the vacuum ... it's NOT! This black knob that is clearly labeled VAC is actually for the refrigerant? The yellow hose & knob are labeled REF which I foolishly assumed was for refrigerant ... it's NOT! This yellow knob that is clearly labeled REF is actually for the vacuum? Worse, the refrigerant can fixture pushed the valve into the can such that it wouldn't shut, even when the valve stem was fully removed so all of the refrigerant sprayed out, uncontrollably! Plan to leave any unused refrigerant can connected to the hose and gauge set so you can use it to stop the flow! Also, those knurled hose connections suck! I used 3 wraps with the included teflon tape (in the direction that they tighten). The problem being that while they work when tight, they will loosen and leak when you move the hoses and you will have to tighten them, again, and again, etc. Looking again at the user manual, I realized that the small diagram shows the reversals of those controls so, the company knew they were mis-labeled but CYA with a small diagram correcting it. Now I understand why no refrigerant showed in the watch glass because these labels were reversed. Unfortunately, because no refrigerant was seen, I continued turning the can valve which is when it pushed the valve out. Other than this confusing and dangerous labeling mistake, the gauges worked well as did the sniffer. I haven't yet needed the vacuum pump so I can't say how well it works. I really hate having been exposed to the refrigerant as it shot out of the can, even though I had safety glasses and gloves on! A can of refrigerant holds a ton of it! I hope I've not done myself in? I am shocked that Amazon sells this $168 set? It is dangerous due to the mislabeling and the problems it has created.

Good value for the money
I recieved this A/C maintenance kit many months before I used it. Over all I think the price was right for what it included. Gauges are OK. Not pro level by any standards but function ok. They definitely need calibrated against a known gage. The hoses are too short. They are about 3 1/2 foot long. 6 foot would have been perfect Ac coolant line couplers are hard to attach. I had to really apply effort to get them to attach. But I the end they fit. The different adapters included are super cool. They support different types of refrigerant cans. I wish the kit included R1234yf couplings. It has ony R134a couplers. I had to purchase a set of R1234yf couplers to connect to my newer trucks. I cant imagine that would have cost much. But I still had to spend 22 bucks. The vacuum pump has its good and bad. It appears to be designed well. The fit and feel is really good. First problem was the amount of oil included was not enough. It only filled the pump 1/4 by the sight window. Im sure it was enough to safely run it. Its quiet and appears built well. But when its running it gets super hot. It does spew out a substantial amount of oil through the top vent. Just in one use (40 min) it spewed out half of the oil I put in it. So that ment that with the provided oil I got just one use. I have to buy more. The storage case is nothing fancy but works fine for occasionall use. The included storage bag is nice to have. It fits the intire kit. Its not something that will hold up traveling around with. Its just a soft sided bag with a handle. It does have fiber material between the inside and outside. Should protect against damage. The gloves are OK but appreciated. The operational manual is quite good. Photos and step by step are good. Way better than other Chinese products. It clearly shows the open and closed direction the couplers need. Many people think closing is clockwise. It important to turn counter clockwise to close and thats needed to make the connection. The gauge valves operate normally. Clockwise to close. Value was added with the leak detector. Its definitely not A grade. It works OK for big leaks. And areas that are accessible. The included storage bag is very nice. Over all if I had used this kit within my return window I dont think I would have returned it. Everything with the exception of the pump gets a 7.5. For the money. Parts are manufactured good. Pump gets a 6. Only because how much oil gets spewed and the chinssy amout of oil it came with. Time will tell if the heat will be a problem. I wish the pump portion had heat fins. The motor never got hot.
