This is a good kit, obviously more economical than hiring an outsider, and a great learning experience for anyone new to piano tuning! My non-max "ease of use" rating is not really the fault of the tool set; it's just that my inexperience found piano tuning an inherently non-easy process.

The hammer is sturdy and easy to use. I am not a professional, and this is the first time I tune a piano. Getting it on tune is easy, but eventually, the string losses the tune. I have read about "setting the pin," but I am still unable to do it with this hammer.I play violoncello as well and am familiar with the tactile sensation required to set a string in a way that won't get loose over time. However, that is hard to do as the hammer does not transfer the feeling of the pin.Also, the felt was too thick to be useful on most strings, and the wedges keep falling out of place. I am using a piece of fabric I had around, which works better than both felt or rubber wedges.

It works well. Size and weight is equivalent to that of a old fashion wooden hammer. Big and heavy enough to make slight adjustments. Used a piano tuner app. Hammer held up well after my first time tuning. Gripped the piano nuts easily. Harder to tune the higher keys as there is no room for the tuning mutes, and I had to cut one in to an angle to get it to fit in.

I am happy with this kit. It has every think I needed. I did cut up a few of the mutes into different sizes. Ans I cut the felt in half long ways to get it to fit in some tight spots. The wrench is very good. Nice fit on the tip. The handle is long to give you subtle leverage you need. Everything fits in the case, including the tuner I bought with it.

They should name this thing The Destructor because it broke 2 strings on my old piano instantly with very little effort. This would be great if my piano were newer than 1917 and wasn't about to collapse into a pile of dust. Sent it back to help pay for one of the $140 strings I broke - proceed with caution tuning your piano if it's older than say 1950.

As a total amateur, I was able to tune my piano "well enough" with this kit and the free app "Pano Tuner". I get what people say about the hammer being "short", but I got the hang of it: I apply some force and check; if I actually *felt* it move, it probably moved too much.I got this kit instead of a smaller kit because I wanted the "damping stick" (not sure if that's how you call the tool right next to the hammer in the picture), and I'm glad I did because it's my favourite damping tool.Also, this purchase was profitable on the very first use, so that's a bonus.

Um das Klavier zu stimmen fast perfekt. Ein besseres Intonationswerkzeug wäre noch schön, und der Hammer könnte noch länger sein. Aber im Großen und Ganzen sehr gut und zufriedenstellend.

Decided to learn and start tuning my upright piano. Read a lot watched some tutorials. I’m a musician with a good ear so I thought I would give it a go. This kit has everything I’ve needed so far. Good quality, the tuning hammer is particularly sturdy (and needs to be).Recommended.Ian.

Kit tout à fait convenable pour le prix. Ne pas hésité à bien enfoncer la clef du marteau sur les chevilles du piano. Le manche est assez long pour permettre un réglage précis.
