I make and collect microscope slides for teaching and reference.

Nice set, I wish there was more variety of stuff to look at but it was a great introduction to the microscopic world.

The pictures i provided are taken from my iPhone from the lenses of the microscope so not great quality but i wanted to show how the samples came in good condition, but the slides had a lot of debris on them, some even hair strands or something appearing to be strands of something. Not mad, but not satisfied with this.

I don't normally write reviews. The slides came out of their respective slots and upon opening the latch to their container they were found stacked on top of each other. The mounting medium they used either had not set or had melted during transit causing some slides to be stuck to each other. This however is not the issue. While no slides where cracked, many were chipped and I believe the combination of movement during shipment and the stacking of the slides caused these chip to essentially be ground. The result? The finest particles of glass that are not noticeable to touch but also able to be breathed in or accidentally introduced to the eye. PPE is essential if I wanted to go through the effort of salvaging, but many slides seemed unusable. My suggestion if you order is to heed my warning and take caution when unboxing. I returned my set of 50 slides.

The slides appear to be prepped fine however a large portion of them are completely misspelled which makes it complicated to use for teaching. It would be nice if the labels were correct to make it seem more legitimate.

The padding inside the wooden box, decided upon by the manufacturer, is insufficient for an item that is shipped. It will not keep slides in place, therefore it is an a poorly designed item. I would not recommend this set due to its wooden crate design.

I ordered this before Christmas for my daughter as a gift to go with her microscope. I was super disappointed when they arrived. The box containing the slides was broken as well as several slides. There was no way I could return them and order different slides in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, I had to give my daughter broken slides and just promise to replace them.
