Good non-dairy protein, needs help with flavor
Great protein powder if you are sensitive to dairy like I am. The flavor of the unflavored variety is not great as others have mentioned and you will need to use a blender. I also tried the vanilla but it was too sweet and I prefer to use my own flavors and sweetener anyway. I use a nutribullet to blend this with other ingredients mostly for tube feedings but I also make smoothies to drink with berries, coconut milk, and a some Stevia. It will make a very thick shake if you don’t use enough liquid but the right combination of ingredients and liquid will make a drinkable smoothie.

Doesn’t upset my stomach like most protein powders
This is the only protein powder I’ve found that doesn’t upset my stomach. I have to get the unflavored so that it’s not too sweet. Have repurchased it many times.

The unflavored one is unnaturally unpalatable
I have tried different powders, often they are unpleasant. But this one went beyond, there was something about the unnatural taste that went beyond plastic or rubber or bitterness. And instead of getting used to it, it got worse the more I tried it. I could simply never stomach it again, I squint just thinking about it. I think I tried the vanilla version and it was better. The one with lgG Designs for Health - Vanilla PurePaleo IgG - Protein Powder with BCAAs + Immunoglobulin for Lean Muscle Support, 405g was safer. It didn't taste good, but I could deal with it. This one was in a weird league of its own. Strange, because some people like it, but man, to me it was awful in some indescribable way. Also, it really is the stickiest, unmix-able-est powder ever. Other powders I can mix by putting in a little water, using the baking method of slowing adding wet to dry for leverage. This one defied that. It is a very fine, sticky, unmanageable dust. As for biological performance, it was probably fine. But there are other powders out there.

Clean healthy beef based protein
Favorite protein powder! Blends well, flavor is not overpowering. My husband likes the unflavored because he avoids stevia. We buy all three flavors.

4 Stars - Excellent protein source, just prepare for the texture
Let me get the one downside out of the way first: this stuff is sticky. Really sticky. If you spill it while it's mixed, you're in for a cleanup project. The wet powder clings to surfaces, and the mixed consistency is somewhat slimy due to the collagen content. That's just the nature of bone broth protein. Keep a towel nearby and don't mix it over your keyboard. Now the good stuff. 26g of protein per serving from grass-fed Swedish cows. Dairy-free, paleo-friendly, no GMOs. This is a legitimate alternative for anyone who can't do whey or wants the added benefits of collagen peptides for joints, skin, and gut health. The unflavored version actually is unflavored. It blends into smoothies, coffee, or savory dishes without adding unwanted sweetness or artificial taste. I've mixed it into soups and sauces without anyone noticing. Designs for Health is a practitioner-grade brand, which means the sourcing and testing standards are higher than typical retail supplements. You pay more, but you know what you're getting. If you can tolerate the texture quirks, this is one of the best beef protein isolates on the market. Just don't make it over the carpet.

Finally- a great creamy smoothie for people with cow's milk allergies
I love this protein powder!! (I do have a high powered blender, though, so mixing is not an issue for me.) I've been looking for years to find a protein powder that tastes good and isn't whey, since I'm inconveniently allergic to milk. The vegetarian and vegan powders are gritty and hard to choke down. It's rare to find a protein powder that isn't loaded with extras- vitamins, probiotics, inulin/chickory fiber, etc. (Come on people!! fiber + protein = smelly gas.) And it's almost impossible to find one that isn't flavored or sweetened with stevia, acesulfame K, or sucralose, etc. Ugh. I hate the cloying aftertaste of artificial sweeteners, so the unflavored PurePaleo is the way to go! I'm free to add whatever flavors I want, and the shakes are creamy and have great mouthfeel. Now if someone could just figure out how to make seedless raspberries, my smoothies would be perfect.

The simpler, the better
I’m following a strict Candida protocol, and needed a high quality protein to get in my protein macros, without the ingredients or junk that cause inflammation. My functional nutritionist recommended this brand, the unflavored being the most pure and simple. I’ve read other peoples way of making this, and i think they are being too complex. This is a bone broth protein, so it does have more of a thicker foundation. I simply take a scoop in a very large coffee mug, I use hot water like a ‘tea’, and add in some MCT oil, and some sea salt, and I’ve also experimented with a teaspoon of raw cacao. Use a small frother/blender to mix and sprinkle some cinnamon. It’s basically a ‘coffee’ alternative in the morning with 26 grams of protein and healing benefits for your gut microbiome.

Impossible to mix with water
Would be a lot nicer if it was mixing well with the water when using a shaker

High protein, single ingredient. It does have a slight smell/taste, but id easily hidden in a smoothie.

This is the only protein powder I can tolerate. I have a very sensitive stomach and with IBS symptoms. I cannot tolerate dairy, so whey is out of the questions, and pea protein gives me horrible stomach pain. I’m so thankful I can have Designs for Health protein powder, or I’d not be achieving my recommended protein intake. The chocolate blended with frozen cherries is the best, and the unflavoured blended with frozen mangos is also delicious.

Smells bad when you open the jar. But is totally flavourless in food and drink.
