Seemed Hot
Took out to test at my older sons soccer game. It was Hot In it even With the little window open. Missed my deadline to return, and won’t be taking it to The beach.

Durable and quick to set up
Two things that make this a great purchase: 1- Only one hand needed for setup 2- Very compact to carryThe main reason I got this was to provide shade and privacy for feeding and changing my children. One was a newborn and it was perfect for quick feeding on the beach. The mesh window has a shade that can be tied up or Velcro fastened down for utmost privacy. It’s tall enough for an adult to sit up, or for toddlers to stand up inside. The other wonderful feature is how easy it is to set up and take down. With a newborn in one hand, I was able to unzip the pouch and take it out with one hand. The entire tent pops open with one shake. Using my feet or one hand, I could kick or scoop sand with a toy bucket to stabilize the tent. To take dow, simply turn the entire tent upside down to dump the sand from the pockets, pinch the two sides together along the bottom (while the top of the tent is still on the ground), then twist it all like you would a pop up sunshade. It all just folds into itself perfectly to fit into the pouch again. It does require two hands but only takes a second to do. It is small enough to fit in my beach bag with towels, or light enough for my child to carry.

It has allowed us to enjoy several family trips to the park, beach, and campground that would not have been as easy without it!
This play shade fell in line with my expectations for the price. Most importantly, it has allowed us to enjoy several family trips to the park, beach, and campground that would not have been as easy without it. Set up is easy. No poles, just a quick pop up. It stakes down in the corners like a tent. One of the nylon corner loops came off the first time the stakes were pulled up. Can't say that I was impressed with that, but I sewed it back on and we haven't had an issue since. While it is light-weight, it handled a windy day surprisingly well with the front and rear flaps open. It is large enough to accommodate a smaller parent or a larger parent willing to contort themselves. I am 5'11" and can lay inside it (most of the way) with my daughter when I'm on my side curled up. Most often one of us lays or sits beside it. Plenty of room for easy diaper changes and my wife will sometimes sit in there for privacy when feeding her. The baby has slept in there like a champ so far. If there is no wind and it's a hot sunny day it can get warm in there. Be sure to pop in there a few times to check. If it's uncomfortable for you to be in there, you probably don't want your baby in there.I'm a regular camper, but for whatever reason folding this back up just doesn't come naturally to me. There's an art to it. Thankfully my wife has it down. Overall this has been a great way for us to stay active and keep our little one out of the sun. It's not perfect, but certainly a good option at this price point.

Great Addition to Our Beach Trip
I ordered this tent for our first family vacation to the beach. It did a great job.Pros:1) It folds up surprisingly easily into a neat little package and is contained in its own carry bag.2) While it wasn't terribly windy at the beach we still used the sand pockets and spikes and they did a good job. Not sure how they would hold up on a very windy day though.3) Love that it has a bottom inside. Baby slept inside the tent every day on the beach and it kept him relatively sand free. I also stored my diaper bag inside to keep it out of the sun and away from the sand.4) It was easy to take down and the sand shook out of it pretty well.5) I could actually sit inside of it to with my son which was awesome since I breastfeed. Some infant tents are too tiny for that.6) It WORKS! It was pretty hot and sunny both days we were on the beach. We didn't use any suntan lotion on baby due to restrictions on that for infants under 6 months. He was in the tent most of the time and he never got red or pink from the sun.Cons:1) Not a lot of airflow. Even with the front open and the flap on the back open, there wasn't a good flow of air through the tent. As you can see above, I sat inside of the tent and it was getting warm in there. I wish the it had side flaps that opened as well for maximum flow of air in and out of the tent. All in all, it was a great purchase and I am happy with it. I plan on using it for years to come.
