Like most people, I have tried cheap knife sharpeners with poor to absolute rubbish results over the years. Then I tried this little gem, It's so easy and quick to use, And you get a factory sharpness edge. Anyone who can't get a razor-sharp knife with this is not using it right.....

This is a great little tool, Work Sharp have made a set of instructional videos to explain how to use this, make sure you watch them first, they're very easy to follow. First use across 7 kitchen knives produced factory-new results. The one minor niggle I have it that the sprung wheel gets hot when in use for an extended period of time, which means you have to take care when changing the belts. This is only a minor things and not enough to drop a star given how good the end results are.

On paper this seems like the perfect bridge between a workshop tool & a domestic sharpener but it’s not quite the solution it appears. The device is small & plasticky & the belts are little more than 1cm wide & barely 15cm in diameter. Such small belts offer little resistance to the weight of a knife & maintaining a consistent angle is impossible when the blade edge is held against the belt. Putting less pressure on the belt maintains the correct angle but takes an age to see results.It’s perfect for aluminium blades but harder steels will require a sturdier, more accurate solution.

I bought a cheaper chinese sharpener but packed up after 3 months. This one is far better with better instructions and well made.

It's relatively expensive, and not very 'kitchen appliance like' in appearance, so you won't be keeping it on your counter top, but it's really great at getting and keeping knives factory sharp.I have some ancient Global knives with blades that were so worn out and chipped they were unusable, and I was considering binning them. I used the medium and fine belts and they now have completely reground edges and are as sharp as they were when new.Once set up - just use the medium belts and go through all your knives with this on, then swap for the fine belt which effectively strops the edge - and you can factory sharpen all your knives in around 8-10 minutes (I have 10 knives). Excellent. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.Now if only they made one that looked decent...

Found this easy to set up, & easy to use. Factory sharp knives. Best sharpener I've used to date! I would recommend getting an extra set of fine belts. That aside, it's an excellent product.

It was recommended by a friend I thought it was an expensive experiment but now can use all the knives that have sat there in the kitchen as they were blunt ones that cut for a while then need sharpening but none of the sharpeners didn't do the job, well worth the money and makes life in the kitchen so much easier.

I have used several sharpners and whetstone to sharpen kitchen and outdoor tactical knives with blades of different shapes and sizes. This one is easy to use and if used properly will give you the best possible edge for your blade. The profile of the blade remains and the edge is razor sharp.It is by far the best sharpner I have tried till date!
