Worked for me connecting Roland Keyboard to Linux
I was thinking to buy the original Roland version of this but I don't really know how much I will even use the MiDi connection so just got this one to see what would happen and it worked fine. I had to plug the "out" in the "in" on the keyboard but thinking about it I suppose one would expect to do that. Connected my Roland EP-760 to the Linux machine using USB and played around with the PianoBooster app just fine.

Cheap and does the job
I use this cable to send MIDI instructions from DAW software installed on my PC to Digitech Whammy 4 pedal and it seems to work very good. Need to connect cable MIDI OUT into Whammy MIDI IN. No PC drivers required. Studio One software recognized it immediately. Cable quality is acceptable. Hopefully it will last for long.
