Spalding U-Turn In-Ground Basketball Hoop

This is a great basketball unit. It had a sleeve that you slide into the cement 36” cement a mold that is approximately 16”. Then you put the pull back into and pour cement down the length of the pole. Stable. Works well. Easy height adjustment.

We have had this goal since 2021. Kids cracked the backboard. Spalding Customer Service was extremely helpful and quick to help us replace it. Maybe the quality is just equivalent to the other things out there, but their Customer Service is rare and I will be a Spalding customer for life now!

This is the second hoop I’ve bought from Spalding, my son cracked the backboard on a jump shot. Eventually it shattered while he was playing and glass rained down on me. I didn’t bother to complain or even contact the company. The second time my son pulled on the rim to see how high he could jump. The glass splintered and stayed connected. I decided to contact spalding since it was under warranty. Apparently this is considered dunking and voids the warranty! Mind you, my son is 11 and not a baby Shaq! So you can lower it, have a break away rim but God forbid you touch the rim and void your warranty! What a joke! Thanks for being so understanding Spalding.

I own the 2018 version of this with tempered glass, limited lifetime warranty. Well the kids shattered it last week in year 4. Called the Spalding customer care, in today's world good service is rare, but spalding took care of my problem SAME DAY and has a replacement backboard coming to me at no cost under warranty. Great brand and great service!

Easy enough to install, seems like an ok goa, unfortunately about an hour after finishing instillation a couple of cracks have appeared in the corner of the backboard. Warranty claim has been submitted.

Lasts Long

If you get one of the larger backboards or one of the glass backboards this is a terrible design! The crank shock is not designed to handle the heavier backboards! My high school kids can barely crank the backboard to 10’ and I have loosened every nut/bolt one the system!

Spalding's has cut corners on : (1) the instructions which fail to detail key information (e.g. tube orientation), (2) design (which include poorly designed rebar holders that prevent concrete from going down the tube), and quality check of parts (e.g., all elevator tubes are missing). Customer support does not exist.....so I'm stuck with a 1000 pound phallic pole in my back yard that sways with the wind. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.
