I bought this same provider's rice, same product, at a local store and loved it. Came on Amazon and found this larger bag for way less per unit than in my store. Yay..dropped at my doorstep for less. Delicious 😘

This rice tastes just okay. I cooked it similarly to jasmine rice but used the recommended water ratio with 1.5 cup of water for 1 cup of rice. I rinsed it then cooked it in a rice cooker. Compared to jasmine rice, this rice doesn’t have any fragrance nor does it have any flavor at all, jasmine rice would have very good jasmine scent when cooking and taste mildly sweet. It also seems less sticky than jasmine rice. I don’t particularly enjoy eating it as rice because of its lack of flavor, however, I made it porridge out of it and came out very well. It was starchy yet still retained the shape of the whole rice. I’ll save this rice to use for porridge in the future

Taste and texture are amazing. I use it to stuff peppers and grape leaves. To make rice pudding or just serve it by it self.

The description states 2500 grams, but the rice I received is 2000 grams. The description is misleading and inaccurate.

This Baldo rice from Duru Store arrived in a plastic bag with 88.2 ounces in it, the bag isn't resealable. The rice tastes great according to my husband, he said it was better than any other rice that I have cooked. To me it just tasted like white rice but then I really don't eat a lot of rice, he does. I was a little disappointed in the directions on the bag of rice, I came back to the product page here on Amazon and also looked up directions on the Internet. I did soak my rice for ten minutes in cold water and I did rinse it three times and I drained it well. I used one cup of rice to one and a half cups of water. I also added some salt and olive oil to the water. The directions say to cook rice covered until all liquid is absorbed, I couldn't really see if and when the liquid was absorbed as I know better than uncovering rice while cooking. I just watched for the steam to mostly stop, it took about twenty minutes. I then let the rice set covered for twenty minutes after turning off the heat. The rice turned out good and fluffy, not sticky at all.
