Masterplug Six Socket Extension with Individual Switches, 2 Metres, White

I will caveat this review by saying this plug was bought over 2 years ago, is in good condition until this incident and to our knowledge, is within 3 the year surge protection warranty period by Masterplug. I guess we'll find out.Woke up this morning to see that plugging in a battery charger for a few hours has caused some sort of event leaving one of the sockets burnt out. Happily there was no fire etc. and no other appliances connected to the plug were switched on at the time, so it was just the one device, but still very surprised this has happened. We are hoping that Masterplug will help us understand what might have happened here.

I don’t like extension blocks that are not individual socket switched. Having to fit and pull out a plug from a live block is not good practice but switching it off first can cause other major problems with appliances in use.So this block is excellent. I would like one that is surge protected though.

Exactly what I was after, no LED on the switches ( a problem at night as they light up the room )And no surge protector ( as that prevents the use of a powerrline adaptor)So perfect for my needs

This is the 2nd I have purchased for extra socket as can be seen in image light up when in use light off when not in use if I need more will buy again also the 2 metres is a big plus also as 1 metres are just useless
