Fishing for surface feeding carp can be frustrating at the best of times with standard controllers being either too visible or providing a poor hooking mechanism. The Bolt Bubble is the first bubble style float specifically developed for targeting surface feeding carp. The streamlined, pear drop design pushes the weight forward to make long distance casting easy, while providing a pronounced bolt effect to taking fish. Bolt Bubbles are designed to sit low.

Holy, and not in a religious way
I prefer fox over most brands but these are substandard. Yes you can add water for casting and striking weight but by the same mechanism if you use them for adjustable zigs they keep filling up with water. It's not a huge issue but it's an annoyance.

Leak like a Teabag
Although the product description seems appealing and relevant to surface fishing situations, this product is awful when in operation. I've tried these on four fishing sessions and had to change strategy on all occasions. Don't buy, it certainly isn't worth the premium price for a bubble float. There are two reasons why I say this. Firstly, basic product quality. They look good, the packaging looks good but the product itself leaks like a teabag. It comes in a twin pack and both floats leak through all four bungs, through the seals between the central line tube and the bubble, and through the central tube itself. I filled them with water as instructed and due to these leaks they lost weight quite rapidly. Quite a torrent actually. So, during fishing sessions they lose water weight, resulting in lost casting distance and need re-filling frequently. I've had to fill them with buoyant silicone sealant as a last resort otherwise they were bin-bound. Secondly, when operated in the recommended manner, I think this product is the wrong way round. The product is tapered so you'd naturally think that it'd be cast pointy end first ? Nope, it's cast broad end in to the wind so the aerodynamics aren't optimal and distances are very disappointing in practice.

Very effective
Excellent piece of simple but effective kit , only thing is I glued the grommets in and filled through the top of the bubble,, since then had literally dozens of carp on them , would recommend

Amazing piece of kit, love them
Makes dobbing more effective, I can cast a piece of bread to surface fish, easy with accuracy up to about 100 yards

The best surface floats
Fantastic units always have been and the carp rise up to them when surface fishing

floating bubble
these are ok but don't cast too far, I landed in the bushes and the bubble got damaged and sunk!! plus the plugs to fill with water are a pig to remove. if using floating bread have a longer hook length than recommended,. the bubble tends to spook surface feeding carp!
