Q: How long do they stay cold? Also, I'm 5'4", would they cover enough of my shin for posterior AND interior shin splints?

I am 5'3" and it fits me fine. For me it stays cold long enough. You have to remember, when you first put it on, it's really cold on your skin. After a little while your skin is kinda use to the coldness. So you can't feel it so much anymore. But to me it still does its thing. Besides you are only supposed to put any ice pack on for 20 mins. I use mine regularly and it helps with my shin splint tremendously.

Q: Would this fit a forearm?

Yes. However these cold packs do not stay cold for very long. I get about 5 minutes (maybe) and then they are body temperature. I would not recommend this product.

Q: Can you take these on a plane in carry on luggage?

Great question, considering the product is completely sealed, I'm sure this would be safe to take on a plane with you. If you are needing more reassurance you might check with the flight company you plan on using. Thanks!
