What a clever way to fool a fool!
I had to travel for work, and had to leave my work truck in a hotel parking lot which made it a target for theives. I put this little blinking box in my dashboard and all five nights I was on the road, nothing happened to my truck. Maybe I just got lucky, but it didn't hurt to have that extra peace of mind while I was traveling. I also bought the vibrating alarm to attach to the inside lid of my locked truckbox that sounds a siren alarm if any motion is detected (Remote included) . Between the two devices, I thought they were worth the very small price I paid to get a good night sleep and not worry about my tools in the parking lot.

Great deterent! Looks like you have an alarm system!
I put these in several windows and it looks like my apartment has an alarm system.

Works on your house too.
I use it as a deterrent for burglary on a vacation home I own. I mounted it to the exterior wall of my home right next to the doorknob of the front door. Most burglars are morons and they might see this and not want to chance it and go to some other house.

Works as described
It mentions adhesion, but I didn't find anything sticky. However, I placed it in a "pocket" near my dash and it flashes just enough that it looks real. Works and is great for the price!!

Meh...
As simple a gadget as can be . Light is too bright, fast blink rate , it looks fake to me , sorry , but I would not be fooled by this little unit. I should have sent it back . Better are the rechargeable ( USB ) type that I already have , comes in a set .Lost one of them little buggers, don't know how I managed to do that , but I did .

Exactly as described
I bought this to deter the thieves that frequently break into the cars parked in my apartment complex garage. The blinking light looks realistic enough in terms of trying to look like some sort of security device. It's also highly visible even through tinted windows. I stuck mine on the rear driver's side window with some Velcro. I like that the light is battery powered because solar wouldn't work for my underground parking situation. If it continues to blink for a whole year as the manufacturer claims, then that'd be great.

Blink! Blink! Blink!
Stout black plastic box with a bright red blinking light - no switch. I put it in a permanent spot in the back of the center console outside of peripheral vision so that it’s not a distraction while driving but can be easily seen from the outside. It’s obviously fake - however, the presence of a blinking red light also poses the remote possibility that this little black box is actually hard wired to an alarm system. It’s an admittedly mild deterrent. However I can’t think of a reason in the world not to use this thing if you’ve got a few extra bucks in your pocket to pay for it. It remains to be seen how long it will work.
