I use this throughout the ear posting process. It helps when putting the newly cropped ears on cups, for keeping ear posts in the ears longer and once progressing to nasal strips. Always use adhesive remover for skin when removing from the dog.

I'm a long term user of this paste. I've used it for nearly 17 years since having a transverse colectomy at Mayo Clinic. I still use this paste because of the zinc content. Zinc is an excellent skin protector and the last thing anyone wants on fragile skin that must be covered is a wound. I apply the paste directly to my skin and I also apply it over the adhesive that is on the wafer. I've never encountered breakdown of any kind around my stoma. It's easy to apply with the brush. Make sure to keep the can tightly sealed or the paste will thicken over time. The extra effort is worth the protection and added longevity of my wafer.

I have an illeostomy, one which has had several fixits and still isn't. I have a huge problem with getting things to stick to my skin. I use this to make a sticky barrier on both skin and the appliance which is then heavily taped and it stays pretty good, and if it is coming loose with the adhesive, it gives you time to not need it immediately be changed and the adhesive protects the skin from damage. Its a life saver and I've gone through many bottles of it.
