Just received. Lamp was easy to assemble. It’s a good weight; not too heavy but enough weight to make it sturdy. Very pleased with the brightness of the light and the ability to dim the light just by holding the power button. Also like the adjustable height and 3 yr warranty.

A well made floor lamp with a sturdy semi-gloss, black powder-coated finish, that carries a 25-watt bright white LED bulb covered by a sturdy white translucent plastic cover. The lamp stands 69" high and comes with a three-year warranty from Brightech. It also comes in a white powder-coated finish. This lamp is a bit smaller than the old-style 71" Torchiere Halogen floor lamps still available from Amazon--those with the hotter bulbs that pose possible fire hazards. LED light bulbs emit no heat and pull low current, making them very energy efficient and safe to use. Be sure to follow the lamp's enclosed pictographic instruction sheet to ease your assembly. The light pole's metal threads make screwing each section together quick and easy. You'll need a small Philips-head screwdriver to tighten the bottom silver screw that secures the assembled lamp to its 6 lb weighted base. I suggest assembling this lamp on a flat work table, if possible, using several layers of bed blanket (or other padding) to protect the lamp's powder-coated finish while assembling. Note: when connecting the wire sections you should carefully "round fold" each of the longer wiring harness sections before tucking them inside the ends of each pole section (i.e., below the threads) as you hand-tighten them. Be careful not to severely crimp these longer wiring lengths when doing so. The push-button adjustable light-level switch will take a little practice. Play with it while referring to the lamp's operating instructions, and you'll get the hang of it. Note: LED bulbs are supposed to last for many, many hours. I suspect the light switch will fail long before the bulb actually burns out, so no worries (this lamp's white translucent bulb cover is secured in place by multiple screws, possibly indicating "do not enter"). This lamp illuminates an average sized, middle class living room or bedroom with more than adequate light. In fact, later in 2017, I plan on buying two more of these lamps for other areas of my 2200 sq.ft. house.

The light goes together quite easily. It's pretty functional, reasonably attractive (for a torchiere lamp) It works well and stays on when the power is switched off (we leave the lamp on and switch the power outlet for this particular lamp and that works well). The only drawback I have is that it is just a bit less bright than I thought it would be. Actually, as I write this, I'm thinking it seems plenty bright, but focuses that brightness on a fairly small circle on the ceiling. We previously had a halogen lamp there and it was very bright and spread its shine across much of the ceiling. We do love the low power use for this lamp so are more than willing to compromise on the amount of light.

This is the best lamp for a small room. My son had a floor lamp in his room that was increasing the temperature in his room by at least 10 degrees - great for winter but torture in the summer. Tried different types of lightbulbs but still ran hot. Found this lamp and couldn't be happier. It is a little smaller than most torchiere floor lamps (as seen in my photos next to another lamp) but it works for a smaller space like a bedroom. The amount of light is good and lights up the room. Love the dimming feature too. The best part about this lamp it that it not only stays cool to the touch but it does not heat up the room. It was easy to assemble (my son did that himself). It is sturdy and looks good.

Great product but with one exception. I exchanged emails with Brightech customer service (and they were prompt to answer) about the possibility of buying the bulb part of this lamp so that I could have it on hand when the bulb eventually failed, i. e., a replacement bulb. Their response was twofold, (1) their bulb has very long longevity [a mean time before failure spec that met their interpretation of "industry standards"], & (2) if the bulb failed during the warranty period, they would replace it (& they have them on hand now for such an event). Customer Lessons Learned: Well as someone who owns a number of flourescent lamps/fixtures that their bulb(s) have failed, the odds of finding replacement flourescent bulbs for them at this point in time is very poor, to include that the company who made the lamps/fixtures have been out of business for some time; and the few vendors who sell flourescent bulbs have a great difficulty in matching what they sell with what my lamps/fixtures need; and basically they can't find a match in their inventory. I hate throwing an otherwise good lamp into the dumpster for the lack of a bulb to include a vanity in my bathroom with burnt out flourescent bulbs that's built into the wall; and finding a replacement vanity (which would now be the LED type) that fits (dimension-wise) that hole in the wall is zilch-yes, I could have it torn out and have any gaps replaced with sheet rock, rewired, etc., but such a "fix" just because its bulbs that are no longer made is several hundred(+) dollars. I am NOT a fan of planned de facto obsolescence to include that the life span of some of these manufacturing companies is not great (of the here today, gone tomorrow genre).

Prompt delivery, great price, easy assembly, working well to date. I may buy another one. Only disappointment was expired coupon for $20.00 included with product.

This is my favorite type of lighting. I have one in every room of my house. Bright when you need it and very low when you don't. Love my purchase.

I love this lamp and how you can adjust the brightness. It lights up a lot and helps with my mood in a living space that lacks natural light. There is 3 years warranty which is also great.
