Get an alignment before installing a steering stablizer.
I installed this on a 2017 used Thor ace that I purchased in 2018 it had 5,600 miles on it at purchase time, the ace drove so bad I would be totally exhausted after 100 milesof driving. By the way I purchased my first motor home in1996 so im not a first timer. The first thing I did was the CHF on it then a front end alignment where they straightened up the steering wheel it was about a 11 to 5 o'clock angle (drove me crazy) each change made a huge difference in driveability but it was not a good driver. I started asking questions and ended up at Camping World in parts sales, Steve the parts person there said they have had good reports on the safety plus unit because it was a closed system and people had complained about noise coming from the ones that had open springs, although it was more expensive The safety plus was the one he would recommend. Now the ACE being on the high end length of the 41-140 and just shy of the recommended length for the 41-180 Steve called safety plus for information it was decided that as hard as it was to drive although it would be a little harder on the power steering that I go with the 41-180 and what a difference unbelievable it's a one handed driver now. I can tell it takes slightly more effort to start a standing still turn but instantly it's back to normal.

No More Sway & Tracks Straight 2016 Ford F53 Chassis
Bought a 2017 Forest River Georgetown 329DS on a 2016 Ford F53 chassis (208" WB w/19.5" wheels) in Aug 2016. MH came stock with anti sway bars & Bilstein shocks (no steering stabilizer), but it still swayed going down the road. Installed the Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer Tan (41-180 @ $472) with install kit (F-119k2.5 @ $49). Also installed Roadmaster Anti Sway bars (1139-140 @ $522) on the front, & (1139-145 @ $687) on the rear. The Roadmaster 1139-140 replaces the stock Ford anti sway bar (bigger diameter) on the front. The Roadmaster 1139-145 is an additional anti sway bar that installs behind the axle (the stock one remains in front of the axle). I installed all three items myself over the weekend (one person). Not mechanically challenging, but I did need to purchase 18mm & 21mm sockets to install the anti sway bars (18mm on the front & 21mm on the rear) and a 1 1/8" socket to install the steering stabilizer.. I do not have an impact wrench so I had to use a breaker bar with a cheater pipe extension to remove the nuts (they are very tight!). I am very happy with the result. For around $1,600, the MH now drives like a sports car....well almost. No more rockin & rolling. Easily stays in the lane when passed by a semi.

Came with rust and chipped paint - Expecting NEW
Opened this Safe-T-Plus 41-180, paint was chipped off from bolts bouncing around in package, Has little bit of rust as well on larger side of stabilizer. Almost look as if it was installed and returned? NOT a big fan of paying full price on a used item, which i didn't notice in the description. Installing soon hopefully functions as it should.

Very Well Made
I am expecting this to be a big improvement. The directions were good and complete.

I did clean the area good with a scotch pad
Recieved the SAFETY PLUS shipment in record time. Installation was a breeze. But the u bolts were a very tight fit to install around the tie Rod. But not a big deal. I did clean the area good with a scotch pad, as mentioned. Don't think I'll need to have to adjust it, once we head for home, but if I do, it will be a piece of cake. Did have a problem trying to find a Metric deep well impact scoket that fit the axle U bolt nuts to install the frt mtg brkt. Still not sure of the correct size. But feel it takes a 29 MM deep well scoket. To fit the shock mtg brkt bolts. Would be nice, if in the future, to mention in the instructions the size of the scoket needed. Not many do it yourselfers have impact deep well scoket son hand. I borrowed one. I had to use a 30 mm, it was slightly loose but worked.
