ThinOptics Keychain Case and Readers Rectangular Reading Glasses

I love these because they fit in the small compartment of the sling that I use for everyday vs a purse. I recently forgot my usual readers while going out for dinner and immediately had a bit of a panic wondering how I would read the menu. I remembered I had these with me as an emergency back up! They are small, light weight and really do stay on (surprisingly) I would use them in place of my usual readers for longer periods, but in a pinch they work well. Would recommend and in fact I may purchase another pair to put in my travel back pack just in case.

I love pulling this out to see the look on peoples face! lol So compact! They work extremely well and nice to know I have a pair of reader with me at all times.

Ok so product did not get 5 stars due to the sharp serrated nose pad that fits on the bridge of your nose.The product, design, ease if use, can hang with keychain or purse buckle, and thin compact size is all a 100% and then some. !!!If they can find a smoother material this would be tops in every respect and price !

Very convenient, better than many folding glasses which often slip down. These stay at place. Case offers good protection and you can hook it up on your keychain. I'm planning to buy another pair.

UPDATE: After this pair broke, I ended up buying the ThinOptics that come with the Universal Pod. Those glasses are different: the part that holds on to your nose is no longer the metal strips, it is plastic that is now attached at the top and bottom of the strip. They also did not look like the original glasses that came with the Keychain Case: the lens frames are a uniform thickness, where it looks like the Keychain glasses had a slight taper which would help them overlap when they fold up. I was hoping the Universal Pod ones would fit into the Keychain Case, but because of the difference I did not want to try it and end up ruining the new glasses.It is now 1 year after I bought the Universal Pod ThinOptics and they are still intact. I still miss being able to wear them around my neck, so I contacted ThinOptics through their website to see if I could just buy the glasses without the Keychain Case. They said if I send a picture of the broken ones then they would send a replacement at no cost. Luckily, I did still have them lying around for some reason, and after receiving the picture ThinOptics immediately sent out new, replacement glasses for free, not even a charge for shipping.I am now changing my previous 2 star rating to 5 stars. Will update if there are problems with the new glasses.UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: I received the new replacements - they are the newer style and are exactly the same as the ones I have that came in the Universal Case with the plastic, attached at both ends nose-pieces. They also fit in the keychain case. I have them around my neck again and am a very happy customer :)----OLD REVIEW: I removed the keyring part, put a smaller ring on the case, and made a necklace with these. I also sanded off the logo. Because of that, they were incredibly convenient as a cool-looking necklace that I can wear when I leave the house.Other than that, the reviews are all true:- It takes some fiddling to get them to stay on your nose, but it is manageable. The best way is to bend them outwards and let them grab your nose - there were 2 places on my nose where they would stay on. They fall off if you wiggle your nose or sneeze.- The metal nose pieces broke off. The first one about a month after I bought them, the 2nd many months later. They are less comfortable and leave marks on your nose without them, but they are still usable.- They broke completely yesterday, the springy bridge part snapped into a few pieces.I did use them a lot while they lasted and now I'm deciding whether I want to replace them or just try something else. If they were cheaper I would just replace the glasses and still use with my case, but for $20 I might try something more comfortable and durable.

The concept is good and will suffice for my needs. The lens quality is much better than what I found in big box stores. There is a problem with the engraved “Thin Optics” name on the top of the lens. This is very distracting and visually annoying which limits the time element of usage. The lens is quite small and placing the engraved name is not acceptable and takes away from the viability of the product. Rethink that decision!

I continue to leave my readers in the car and when the menu is presented, have to struggle and squint or hike back to the car. This changes everything and works quite well once you get used to the feeling of them on the schnoz.

The good:- they look stylish and sort of cool (I think)- they "pack" in a variety of super-compact manners- many cool types of cases are available for them- the keychain case is definitely well-engineered and protects the readers wellThe bad(-ish):- the smallest diopter available is +1.0, which is too much for me- the "pinching" grips are made of hard plastic with edges that are a bit too sharp for my nose; someone with a differenly-shaped nose may not have this issue, though- the keychain-case's matte-black finish smudges easilyIn the end - as much as I liked their portability and wanted these readers to work for me - I decided to return them, as the magnification is a bit too strong for my eyes AND my nose is too big/wide for the rather tough plastic grips, which meant that these readers started to get irritating (if not painful) for me after only a few minutes of wearing them.

Su peso , tamaño , diseño y calidad de las lentes Demasiado prácticas para la vida cotidiana, las llevo conmigo a todos lados., entendiendo que son para una urgencia en lectura y no para uso permanente .,solo espero que si duren mucho tiempo. Feliz con la compra, si las recomiendo.

Works great especially reading menus in dark lit restaurants.

Li tengo sempre attaccati ad un passante dei pantaloni con un piccolo gancetto a molla in modo da averli sempre a portata di mano per leggere le etichette al supermercato o il menu al ristorante.Unico neo: sono molto delicati per cui è facilissimo fare qualche righetta sulle lenti, per il prezzo potevano fargli un trattamento indurente

Estoy muy contenta con las gafas,son muy ligeras,caben en cualquier sitio y no se caen de la nariz a pesar de no tener patillas
