My wife had an old mac book pro. It is 14 years old now. A few years ago it quit charging and I was sad because it is a great computer with retina screen and everything. Well I got my wife a new mac book which she likes, but I bought this charger to see if that was the problem and it was. Now 3 years later I'm still using this computer. It works fine. The battery doesn't hold a charge for a real long time but I just plug it in and charge it up.

This charger is clearly made with very poor quality materials and does not connect securely to the charging port despite my model being specifically listed as compatible. It disconnects from the laptop at the slightest touch. It also makes some sort of a chirping noise that sounds like either a voltage alarm or bad capacitor or resistor inside. I'm pretty worried it's going to catch fire. Returned after 1 day of attempting to use it.

this is actually a really good dupe for the apple charger. you can’t use it with an extension like you can with the apple one but it’s really great quality and works perfectly. i highly recommend!

Great replacement for Apple MacBook charger. Bought this when my original cable broke and no place in town had any. I used this cable multiple times a day for 6 months before retiring my MacBook with no issues. This was in my backpack or purse all day, with temperature swings and being bent up all day, so I’m impressed it held up this well. I noticed no difference in charge rate from my original charger. The magnet connector was also no different. It still works great! Highly recommend.
