Great product, timely delivery
Great price for the medium filter you may need for your Koi pond or aquarium filter. It does the job it was promised and is a great size for most filters. It’s easy to make it fit. And cleans very well.

Great value
This is a great value if you don’t mind cutting up your filter to fit

Works well for my Pond Filter.
It is not 1" thick, especially after water touches it. But is easy to cut to fit Filters. Easy to replace, and easy to spray clean. Good price for the amount. Polyfill is still a good option.

Awesome as Secondary Filter for Pond System
Background: My 1,000 gallon koi pond suffered new-pond syndrome with a bloom of planktonic algae late this spring as pond temperature rose above 60F. While water tests showed that beneficial bacteria had established, the suspended planktonic algae remained making the water dark brown/green. After waiting four weeks with no clearing of the water, I purchased this filter fabric and added two layers to the skimmer box behind the skimmer net and large strainer filter fabric and two layers of the fabric in the waterfall filter box just before (upstream) the bag of bio balls. I found no issues with the pump sucking the skimmer box dry, so two layers of this fabric in the skimmer and waterfall (4 total layers) still allowed water to easily flow through. Performance: After two days, the water began clearing up considerably. I pulled the fabric out of the skimmer box and rang it out by hand to find a massive amount of dark brown/green water/algae trapped in the filter. After rinsing and replacing, I left the fabric another two days, and the water has cleared up even more to where I can now make out objects at the bottom of the pond (3' deep). I rang out the skimmer box fabric to find, again, a ton of brown/green water/algae trapped. At this rate, I expect the water will be cleared up within a week or two. The fabric shows no signs of decomposing, tearing/fraying, or having issues being rang out. Conclusion: Excellent product since all the resources I read said skimmer filter fabric will not catch suspended planktonik algae. I will be running this filter fabric all season long since it is performing so well.

A must for freshwater aquariums
I've been using this product for my 75 gallon tank for years and won't use anything else, it's perfect. I wrap it around my filter's intake wand, secure it with two rubber bands and I'm good until the next water cycling. It catches all the gunk that would normally be filtered through my Fluval FX2. It works so well that when I opened up my Fluval to clean it there was virtually no gunk in there, and this was after a full year of not opening the Fluval reservoir tank. To keep your fish happy and thriving in clean water this filter material is a must.

Works Great and Awesome Filtration!
I bought this for a secondary filtration for both my fish aquarium and also outdoor man made pond. It's durable and super easy to use! Just cut the size you need and place it. Ive definitely noticed the water clarity is so much better in both and super happy with this product! Definitely worth buying!

Excellent Filter Material, Great Price
It is nice size roll, and a lot less expensive that what you can find in a pond/aquarium store. Easy to cut, and place in your filter. I have this in two of my pond filters. One is the external filter/UV light combo that you see on Amazon for about $120 right now, and the other is a home-made filter container where I have a quart-size won-ton soup container with holes drilled in the bottom and the intake cut into the lid. I cut out two circular pads for each filter, and stacked them together. To help control the gunk that these filters get, in my large filter, I also have a layer of cheese cloth on top to act as a pre-filter. It is easy to then just open the filter and remove/replace the cheese cloth and save this filter pad material to "polish" the water without it containing all the heavier stuff that the filter pulls through. I will buy this again when I need more.

Not 1" thick, shipping took forever
I will start with the shipping. Over three weeks, Indiana to Idaho. To be fair to the seller, that isn't his fault, I just want people to know that I waited for weeks. It seemed to drop off the face of the earth. Tracking said it sat 8 days in/near Chicago, but that doesn't account for all the other times it just...disappeared. Other things ordered at same time came in 4-5 days, so this was an anomaly, sure. I wrote to finally just ask for a refund (even AMazon said it looked like my parcel was missing) and...well, I got 'schooled' on "the new post office policies" and it sounded more like a rant than anything empathetic for a customer whose money you have for a product they've not received. And that IS on the seller. What he said is probably right (that the new post office general has decreed that parcels can just sit in distribution centers and wait, while they make sure letters get delivered on time) but it was more a rant about that, and less about customer satisfaction in SPITE of the post office's admittedly crappy service on this one. So I took a star for that. The other star I deducted for is that this is NO WAY an inch thick. Be prepared for the parcel to be FAR smaller than you anticipate. It's possibly a half-inch thick, then rolled snugly together (hence the smaller package). It arrives in really good shape, it looks like really nice stuff, and I think it will do a GREAT job. But I think the advertising is misleading. Perhaps if I put a piece in the dryer to fluff, it'd bulk up to 1" but I doubt it. I am pretty happy with this, as I do feel it'll do what I need, but I wanted people to be aware of the ACTUAL thickness and that shipping - if it's crazylong like mine was - will earn you a less than understanding reply.
