Rite In The Rain Weatherproof Top Spiral Notebooks, 3" x 5", Tan Cover, 3 Pack (No. 935T-3)

Love these notebooks! I bought them for writing notes out here in the rainy PNW and they've performed perfectly. No smudging at all! I got curious how much water they could withstand so I actually tore one out and ran it under the faucet for about 30 seconds. The water wiped right off and you couldn't even tell it had even been wet a second ago. Overall, love these little notepads. Would buy again!

Ever since I discovered that these note pads exist, I have bought only them and complain when I run out and have to use any other. Having to write outside in several different weather conditions means that I have to throw normal pads away before I even use all the pages because they break apart and give out. This book is amazing in the rain and allows me to not only write in the rain, but use the book entirely as it is extremely durable. I don't care how much these cost, I will continue to purchase and use them.

The thing I hate about reviews, they are typically written by customers who didn't read or research the product to begin with. So let me help you make this decision. I've used these books for over ten years back when Brigade Quartermasters was printed on the back as the military supplier. **Important** You cannot use gel pens. Now say it with me " I will not use gel pens or highly liquid inks on this paper to include highlighters, fountain pens, water colors, and acrylic paint ". There we go, got that out of our system now. Common sense kicks in right about now as it's a waterproof paper, so if you're upset about that, that's a you problem and not a product defect. Pencils are my go-to writing instrument; however, the paper is treated and you'll see noticable erase marks. Sharpie works well but will bleed through slightly sand the poster must be dry. Actually, it's more so a noticable color differential, if you passed basic science class you'll understand the difference between black and white and thus why you can see sharpie on the backside. I've never had it completely bleed through from taking a quick note. However, if you're leaving the sharpie on it long enough to bleed through, again that's a problem with you and not the product. DO NOT write on this paper while diving. I say that but I guarantee somebody will write a complaint about it not having an IP rating. Babies, paper, and comms typically don't fair well underwater. It's not my area of expertise so ask a diver. A real one and not a Navy Seal. The notebooks were originally issued to me in the Marines, and was treated as an essential piece of my uniform. I drew up battle plans for years on these. Back when I turned the battlefield into my own lead infused chaotic artistic interpretation of Starry Night. Ten years later the paper is still intact and no fading or discoloration on a notebook I found recently. The Cover displays useful conversion for maps, measurements, and linear (see pictures). The back cover also gives you a ruler up to 4 1/4" inches and 11cm. These books are in every trauma and boo boo first aid kit I own. They are stored in every toolbox, glove compartment, emergency kit, camping gear, and next to my toilet when I brilliant idea comes to me during my morning glory. I was the officiant at my ex wife's wedding and wrote the speech in the shower the morning of. At the end of the day it's a pad of paper. You're buying it for it's durability in all weather climates. If the Amphibious Apocalyptic dealers of death we call Marines use them around the world in every clime or place, I'm sure you're "to-do" list will be ok. In conclusion, buy the notepad and if you regret your purchase, you're probably somebody that's irrationally difficult to please and found it necessary to express their dislike via a review because that's what difficult and unhappy people do. It's a notepad much like a baby, don't submerge it and expect it to work like advertised. Use the writing instruments instructed by the manufacturer, and use the thing in-between your ears. My son took this on his ROTC field training exercise, and it held up like a champ. Rain, mud, and the general abuse of being shoved into a cargo pocket didn’t faze it at all. The paper feels a little different from standard notebooks—almost slicker—but pens and pencils still write cleanly, and nothing smears or bleeds when it gets wet. The spiral binding is sturdy too, so it doesn’t bend out of shape even with rough handling. The real value is peace of mind. When you’re outdoors and the weather turns ugly, you don’t have to worry about your notes turning into a soggy mess. Sure, it costs a little more than a cheap notepad, but this is one of those “buy once, cry once” items. It’s built for people who actually use their gear in less-than-perfect conditions, and it delivers exactly as promised.

A good notebook for anyone who has to work outdoors and still make notes during any season. Small enough for your pocket, good spiral wiring, good value for what you paying, and performance wise is great as long as the page doesn’t get completely soaked what you write down will still be there.

The size of notebook fits great in a pocket with other slim items, (ex. wallet, phone) and its cover and spirals are tough to withstand daily usage in wear and tear. I am so satisfied with this notebook I am considering purchasing an over valued compatible pen …..though unnecessary because many other pens ink will print while under rainy conditions. A+

These are great for taking notes anywhere. In my case industrial environments as it comes in contact with just about anything from Hydraulic fluid right through to water and soap after the job is done!

I am yet to use a better note pad. I can submerge it in water and its fine. engine oil? Fine. Hydraulic oil? Fine. Diesel fuel? fine. Engine coolant? Fine. Grease? Fine. All you have to do is wipe it down and it's fine. One of the best parts is that because the paper lasts so long without getting wrecked, you can use the same notepad for waaaayyy longer than one with regular paper. The paper is almost like magic that way.
