I never write reviews but wanted to make others aware that this is NOT wireless. It actually needs to be plugged into a power source in order to work. I was specifically looking for a wireless camera so this is very frustrating as it will not serve the purpose I had for it. The camera is actually incredible quality and the night vision is excellent. Such a shame I won’t be able to use it.

Have been really happy with these cameras, so much so that this is my 3rd camera I have bought. Perfect for keeping an eye on your pets when you are out at work and more recently really good for keeping an eye on our Nocturnal Hedgehog who only comes out at 4am, which otherwise we wouldn't know what she was up to.Comes in a small box with the Camera, wire with USB plug, sticky 3m adhesive mount and screws/wall plugs with screw guide if you wanted to mount it to a wall.Setup:All you have to do is plug it into the wall, turn it on and then set it up in the app.It is quite clever in that you scan a QR code on your phone screen with the new camera, it beeps and then is set up in the app. I purchased a 32GB micro-SD card separately as it allows you to record a few days worth of footage and from anywhere you can access your live camera feed or the storage and go back in time and watch what happened.In the app you can also set it to give you alerts if it detects any motion, and set it to record only when it detects motion. This is useful as instead of having to watch all the hours of playback you can only check the bits where motion is detected.App is very simple to use with option to pay for online cloud storage or facial recognition but for me just using the SD card is enough and it's free, but good to know there is an option for cloud storage.I like how in the app you can personalise the camera names + add profile photos on it as I have a different photo for each of the pets. Would definitely recommend this camera for anyone who wants a quick simple solution to looking at their homes/pets or even as a outdoor security if placed inside looking out a window.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m a big fan of these little cameras - they are very versatile and the list of uses has to be endless. This is the third of this model I’ve bought. The first two I’ve been using in bird nesting boxes for the last 6 months - we’ve had a lot of pleasure watching a pair of blue tits in each box, nesting and raising their chicks. This one I’m using as a security camera in a window at the front of our house. It’s already proved useful – I was able to use footage to prove damage to our block drive was caused by contractors cutting trenches in the pavement next to our property.Connecting to the app and to your home WiFi is quick and easy. Unlike one previous reviewer, I did not have to disable the 5GHz channel on my dual band router. As long as you make sure your device is connected to the 2.4GHz channel during setup, you can access the camera from then on with your device on either channel. The camera has to be powered, and a USB charging adapter and 1.5m lead is included. You can purchase longer charging leads quite cheaply online if required. Once connected as long as its plugged in and in range of your WiFi, you can use the camera to monitor pretty much anything you want, day or night, in 1080p HD resolution from anywhere in the country (due to lockdown restrictions, we haven’t tried the rest of the world yet but I’m sure it works just the same). If left on Auto, the camera switches to infrared when it gets dark.You can record to a micro SD card if you put one in the slot provided. As a guide, a 32gb card will record a little over 3 days of HD footage on a continuous loop which you can playback or transfer to your device (we’ve used it on Android and IOS with equal success) by selecting from the timeline.You can setup motion detection alarms and adjust the sensitivity and surveillance area in the settings. Motion alarms can be sent as notifications to your device if you wish, and viewed by selecting View on the alarms listed in the app messages screen.You can invite anyone with the app on their phone to view live or recorded footage from your camera by sending them an invite from the app. This can be useful in some situations.Don’t think that by paying 5 times the price for a big brand name camera, you’re getting 5 times the quality, features or reliability because you’re not. I would recommend these cameras.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this camera to keep an eye on our dog when we have to leave him home alone. If he's happy, I'm happy.I'm pleased to say I'm also happy with the camera and the app. Easy to install and operate and packed with features. The video clip attached (daytime) and screenshot of the nighttime video (Amazon only allow one video upload per review) - were downloaded to my phone from a 16gb micro SD card bought online for £2.99 and inserted into the camera. It records over 24 hours of HD footage which is enough for me. Bargain!Once set up, it’s so easy to relocate to another room, meaning when needed, we can keep an eye on the cat too.Unfortunately, the microphone feature works so well, it confuses the dog who thinks we’re actually in the room!

Got this to point through front upstairs bedroom window as a cheap way of covering the front drive area. Had some problems connecting to wi fi, had to turn off 5ghz band on router to get it connected then reconnect it again once link established. Have put a 128 gb sd card in. Had some problems getting it to record but that was down to me rather than the product. Had to contact their support line a few times and they were on the ball, got quick replies to my queries so cannot fault them. As another reviewer said you cannot use the night vision function through a window as the infra red lights, or whatever they are, reflect back. There is some vision if night vision turned off from the street lights but once they go off then nothing. Had to get a usb extension lead to reach where camera is, ordered yesterday came today, (not Amazon). Early days yet but impressed so far.
