Ok, so I chose this version over the digital versions for a few reasons. 1 being that I like the old school analog/mechanical build of electronics because they tend to be less problematic. 2 being the price comparison over the digital versions. The digital models can easily be three to six times the price depending on how many functions you want it to include. And lastly my choice of this one was its simplicity and ease of setting it up and being able to forget about it. And I guess I made the right choice because I haven’t had any issues what so ever with this unit. I will say that the tiny pins that need to be set might be a little difficult for some people if your hands/fingers aren’t very agile, but a pen tip or toothpick could help out with that if you don’t have fingernails. And if you your plans are having a couple things that need to be turned off and on at the same times, then you could just Plug a double outlet plug into this timer box since it only has one outlet. I would definitely suggest buying this timer switch. See, I bought mine to use on my aquarium lighting, and plan on buying a second one for my aquarium fogger machine. My first thoughts when I received mine and opened the box was ‘this thing feels light and cheap’, but it has worked great. If I remember correctly, I believe the box itself had the set up instructions printed on it. So be sure to check it so you don’t throw out the box before you learn to set up properly. Buts it’s as easy as making sure the correct tiny pins are lifted, or pushed in on specific times around the dial. I know you are wondering about the cons of this unit, but personally I haven’t found anything wrong with it so far. Yes, there is better timers out there, but for the price, this was a good deal. I hope this info helps some of you out on your decisions, and you have as much luck as I have had.

Had a lot of trouble getting it connected, but works great now that it's connected. No user manual, couldn't find much information online. Took several hours to get connected. After discovering that smart socket has a wifi hotspot that you connect your phone/tablet to first for configuration, I was eventually able to get it connected to home wifi router. Ended up using Smart life app instead of efamilycloud app.

For the most part, these work pretty well. There were no instructions in the box they came in, so we had to figure out how to set them by trial and error. It wasn't super difficult to figure out, but the little pins are a bit difficult to push down if you do not have fingernails. Out of the 4 timers, one just would not keep the time. We were constantly having to reset it and eventually just ended up throwing it out. Not a terrible purchase overall, but we probably would not purchase these again since one wouldn't work, they did not come with instructions, and are not super user friendly.

Pros:–Had no problems with original setup. Using same on/off time every day of the week–Daylight Saving Time (DST) and battery backup were key features in my purchasing decision. See Other Thoughts below to use the DST feature–it does not happen automatically–The front LED light is lit only when timer is actively supplying power to attached device(s)–Definitely like that unit does not block both wall outlet receptacles and two appliances can be controlled at the same time–We experience numerous power outages, the built-in battery will save having to reset light timers each timeCons:–You never know the battery charge level, even when plugged in for first timeOther thoughts:–Read the instructions and remember to press the “reset” button with a pin before programming and using the unit for the first time–DST still requires user control, it does not automatically adjust the clock because there are no built-in month/date features. In the Fall, Deactivate DST for standard time; in the Spring, Activate DST to add 1 hour to the clock.–Based on a few reviews, will test these units for a week before deciding whether to keep or return

Easy to program, exactly what I needed. Buy the 3 pack, you will find many uses once you have 1!!!

I use this to time my AC unit at night. It works great and is quiet. It does make a noise when it changes settings, but that doesn't bother me since my ac makes noise anyway when it turns off or on. The timer calibration is off, but accuracy isn't too important for my use. I still reset the timer every few weeks just so it doesn't get too out of sync

I've been using this timer for more than 3 weeks now. I'm using it as part of a hydroponic system set up. I use it to manage my watering pump.The GOOD:It's insanely easy to set up and change timers once you figure it out. The interface is as intuitive as it can be, given the small size. The option for 2 plugs makes for a more practical use of the outlet (e.g. if you're running 2 systems on the same timer, they're going to kick on/off simultaneously). I don't have a good scope of the future for my system now, so I don't need them, but it's nice that you can set up 8 separate timer triggers, each with an on off independent to the trigger.The BAD:It's a little bulky but I wasn't expecting a small unit. The only other issue I have is the lack of instructions. On that note - it was so easy to figure out that I ended up spending more time trying to find instructions than it took me to learn to use the actual unit.I have 0 issues currently with the product and 0 complaints.

This was a great purchase for a short Time.We noticed that it was losing time on the timer. It is only used to start a coffee maker in the morning. After 3 months, it was obvious that it was losing about 14 minutes every 3 weeks. unfortunately, now we have to reset it every 2 weeks to get it to start one time. I don't know if I got a defective one or if this is how all of these products function. Disappointed at this time
