I bought this for working from home, since I don't like sweatshirt sleeves. It does help keep me warm while sitting. The fabric is a little scratchy, which I don't love. But it's thin, which is nice for indoors. I don't want to look like I am wrapped in a giant blanket on camera. Overall I am not unhappy. It's decent for the price I paid for it.

I got this as a gift for my wife. I didn't know if she would like it or not, so I was taking a chance. Luckily she loved it. It is very convenient to wrap around her when it's chilly and it's pretty, too. It can even be used as a throw when she's sitting on the couch, or while taking a nap. It turned into a private joke between us because I said it reminded me of the sarape Clint Eastwood wore in his spaghetti western movies. It's much nicer and more stylish than that, of course, so it turned into a term of affection for this unique piece of apparel. If you live in a cooler climate, I think your lady will like this.

I live in SoCal where (lately) even though it is December, it is still relatively warm (70s-80's). This is a perfect lightweight shawl to have when you don't want to wear a sweater or lightweight jacket...it "just" takes the chill off. It is for casual wear. This one (that I received) is true to the pictures above in color, texture, etc. This IS like a thin stadium-like blanket, but nicer and more easily warn with the v-neck cut out, than a blanket. Due to the acrylic/polyester combination, it is very soft.I wouldn't call it a poncho, but that's just my definition of what a poncho would be like.This IS from China, so keep that in mind. I love this shawl. Medium weight. Reversible.I used it for travelling. Lovely blanket for sitting on and a coverup on airplane while napping.
