I bought 2
I trust the Belkin brand. I bought 2 of them and straight outta the box one of them wasn't working properly. Plug in the 3.5 and it works. Plug in the power and it stops charging my phone and cuts off the music! Please help me to rectify this issue. I'll be checking out the other one tomorrow. I am really under the weather and want to connect my head to some music and fall asleep! Sincerely, John Houser

Stopped working after 8 weeks; another unreliable splitter from Belkin.
Worked for 8 weeks, then the audio port failed. I tested all of the wires and it was indeed the Belkin unit that was bad. This happened once before with the lightning version of the same splitter. I mean, Belkin, COME ON. Be better than the unbranded crap from China. I'm not paying a quarter of a hundred dollars for something that lasts less than two months.

Durable, better brand quality
Durable. I've ordered a few of these over the years and they each last a long time with daily harsh use. This brand is better quality

5/5; it is my go-to as a necessity
Functionality: 5/5 Functions as intended with no issues since I've purchased it. Durability: 3/5 Has a plastic shell, so I would not advise being rough with the product in terms of tossing it around, yanking it off from the phone, etc. Treat it with care and it'll last long. Connection speed: 5/5 No indication of lag when connected to my Apple earphones and Anker charging cable. Charging ability: 5:5 No indication of slow charging. Charging speed seems to be about the same without this connector and just having my phone plugged directly to the charging cable. Heat level: 5/5 At most it gets warm Compatibility: 5/5 No issues connecting to the Apple 3.5mm earphones and Anker USB-C to USB-A charging cable Extra info: I previously used this version of the product for my iPhone 11 pro that had the lightning cable, and also had no issues with it.

Buy once, cry once
It might seem expensive, but if you have an old car but a new phone, then this is the solution you need because you can charge your phone and output to your AUX all via your USB-C (there is a lightening version available too). I tried cheaper variants before this which didn't last or wouldn't charge properly so eventually I paid up for the Belkin and it's been working like a charm. I took off one start because, as good as it is, it feels like a lot of money for a tiny dongle. Lastly, my set-up is: Cigarette charge with usb-c port --> USB C cable to the Belkin dongle, 3.5mm stereo cable from Belkin dongle to AUX on stereo, USB C connector on dongle to Iphone

Marvelous!
Excellent gadget. Saved me hundreds of dollars. My 2005 truck only has an AUX input port and that stopped working when my new phone came without a 3.5mm phone jack. Bluetooth does not work with my old radio. In order to get Bluetooth connectivity, I would have had to install a new radio and matching speakers. I could have purchased a Bluetooth adapter to connect the 3.5mm AUX plug into the AUX input, but reading reviews on alternative Bluetooth dongle adapters, convinced me that there are volume and noise problems. I just tried the Belkin RockStar™ 3.5mm Audio with USB-C Charge Adaptor plugged into my AUX in jack and it is providing excellent results. I can make and receive phone calls and the cell phone charges just fine. Streaming music is static free. Liking this solution the best. Pros: It works with the phone set at low to mid volume. Works with my antiquated radio and amplifier. Excellent sound. I would buy another one to replace it should it ever fail in the future. I would recommend it to friends and strangers. Cons: Not free, but a reasonable price. DISCLAIMER: This review was not generated using AI, nor was it part of any sponsored promotion. I'm just a regular guy trying to save a few bucks.

Loose wiring, becomes unusable after regular use
The wiring near the USB C plug end will become loose on the inside over time and will cause frequent disconnections. You will be listening to something, and the moment you move the phone, the cable bends and the audio is stopped... A very irritating cycle of you trying to bend the cable back just the right way so that the audio plays. It will drive you mad. My fix was to zip tie the cable into a "U" shape, and this has managed to keep me going, it does not interrupt the audio signal any more. Very poor build quality, I would not recommend this USB C to 3.5mm adapter. Made in China, unlike some of the other Belkin adapters I've bought.

Same issues as others tested
I have a Samsung A54 5G. The adapter started charging and recognized my headphones, so that's already a step up from other adapters. However, while talking on the phone in my car I got a loud squealing / garble sound about a minute after plugging in. The charger wasn't even plugged in at the time. I tried plugging and unplugging both ends without any luck. In a car the mic quality is iffy. Doesn't always send quieter / lower tones in voice. Has a hard time trying to figure out at what gain it wants to send audio to the phone. It's the same issue I have had as the last FOUR charge and listen adapters I've tried. To be sure it's not me, I even tried this on a whole different Samsung A54 5G. No dice. Charging speed seemed okay though. It went up a couple percent in a couple minutes, so yeah that seemed fine.

Belkin, you know what you are paying for. Works well out of the box and no problems noticed after a few months of use.
