This has increased my grandson‘s understanding of place value. There is so much variety and how the problems are presented. It has had a great carryover to double checking addition and subtraction with large numbers. He now rounds the problem to check if his answer is likely. This book has made rounding be not a big deal.

Great book! Great directions, simplified. But at the same time it goes really in-depth and rounding up to millions and down to hundredths. Definitely a great book.

I think this book is useful. The problem is pretty straight forward and good for practicing if you already have other core curriculum. I did not expect it to have problems pass 4 digits though.

I have to admit this workbook had even me snoring. There are no graphics or colorful images in this book. Just a straight black and white page of numbers. The whole book is dull. It was a challenge to keep my son interested in this book because it keeps repeating the same pages over and over.

I found this workbook while searching for an estimation workbook for my friend’s third grade daughter. She was struggling with rounding and estimation problems in math class, and I wanted to help. I thought this workbook had a few things that helped with encouraging students to understand and learn the material. First, the layout and image are nice and kind of draws your attention to the worksheet, as opposed to a plain worksheet with just problems on it. Second, the practice problems are reproducible, so you can get more out of the workbook as a whole. If you like worksheets like this, you may also like Beestar. They have some free and printable worksheets for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction, exponentiation. These worksheets complement other math skills beyond this workbook.

A good book, easy to follow.

The book is great because it offers a balance of practice and learning. They are freshly printed and satisfying to use. But, there are some inconsistencies in the teachings (image 2 attached) where rounding a single digit to the nearest ten is 10, not zero. This may happen in every practice book so be advised! Other than that, great book! 4/5 and I will purchase again if needed :-)

The book itself is pretty good, my son did find some the questions a bit complicated, I'd have had three sections, to go up by. The upside is that, you have the answers at the back of the book, so you can check yourself.. It would be nice to give examples of questions and a way to work out said examples.
