This kit was great. Has everything you need except instructions. There are videos out there so my suggestion is to watch them before you decide to buy this. This is not an easy job on this tablet.After getting this digitizer installed, it didn't work. I thought I had ruined the digitizer connector to the motherboard so I ordered a second kit. I was not going to be defeated.Before getting and opening the second kit I watched a couple more videos on this particular model, L72LL4. I went back on my initial installation and found that the digitizer connector just wasn't seated properly on the motherboard, not actually ruined like I thought. After fixing that connection, the first replacement worked great. I never had to open the second and was able to return it.Fortunately, I was able to get my little neighbors tablet working for only $24. Cheaper than a new one at $75 and she's happy.

No instructions, but easy videos you can find online for this exact kit even. Included everything you need, besides a heat gun which was helpful but not required. Good quality so far. My 4 year old had broken his amazon tablet and i was able to use this kit to replace it in under an hour. I havent replaced any screens on tablets before so id recommend this for pretty much anyone. Easy overall, slightly tough getting the old screen on which isnt anything to do with this new screen. Overall extremely satisfied.

I'm happy with my purchase of this screen replacement kit, mainly because it includes all the tools, plus more, to help do the job of replacing a cracked screen for the Kindle Fire HD8 for Kids. As mentioned in other reviews, instructions are not included with this kit but watching and/or reading how-to instructions online is very helpful. I noticed some videos I watched were replacing screens from different model-tablets but the concept of replacing the screen is basically the same. It is a slow, extreme patience, process in replacing a digital touch screen but it is doable, especially with this tool kit. FYI, I'm a 67 yr-old grandma and I did it!!! for my granddaughter's Kindle Fire HD8 tablet -- she just had to pay for the kit :-)

This doesn't work with the 10th generation fire tablet. The screen isn't clear, one of the connectors was missing the tape on the back side. Now the tablet doesn't work right. 😕

Item arrived promptly and well packaged. Crazy, but no instructions were provided. Had to rely on YouTube help, which I watched several videos many times before starting. With some patience, the installation was not too complicated (hour). The problem now, the touch screen is unresponsive — with no help available. So 60mins has escalated to 4+ hours and still not working. It was working fine with the cracked screen - kind of wish I waited to replace bc now I have a kindle I cannot use just prior to going to the beach for the weekend. Still cannot believe no instructions provided or link to video. I will share an update if I am able to fix. One star — worst off than when I started. Frustrated & disappointed.UPDATE: via YouTube I was able to resolve. I simply had to hold the power button until the kindle restarted (therefore no need to touch screen). Was it restarted the touch screen worked. Updating to 4 stars — can’t give 5 bc no instructions provided. July30 Update -- lowered to 3 stars. Touch screen response is poor via finger or stylus.

Overall, this screen was a perfect replacement. The plastic pry tool broke on both ends quickly. The thin metal tool works great for pulling up the old screen BUT BE CAREFUL! I sliced my finger open on its edge while pulling it around the edges. I put a glove on to do the rest after that happened. After watching many you tube videos, this was relatively simple. Took about an hour for a first time screen replacement - I was meticulous not to damage anything and make sure everything was placed correctly so it took longer than some might take. Definitely utilize a heat gun and heat gloves (to protect from heat and being cut). Overall, I'd purchase again.

I like that everything is there to do the repair.
