Small
couldn't they have made it a tiny teeny bit bigger so the plate would fit. I mean it is only plastic.

Fits perfectly on my '14 Wrangler JK. Easy to install, and the built-in light works great. Feels sturdy and looks just like the original. Solid replacement at a good price.

My 2013 Wrangler Unlimited rear license plate holder has been falling apart so purchased this on Amazon after reviewing most other types on the market. I really don't like the fact that all you can get are plastic plate holders but this one does the job well so its acceptable, much like the original. Some Warnings and Hints: 1- Attachment bolts to Vehicle: Don't use the two Jeep standard size small bolts to bolt it to the vehicle. Instead purchase 1/4 inch diameter hex galvanized steel bolts of 3/4 inch length stud with large diameter washers to fit properly and allow torqueing well without damaging the plastic license holder. So you need to get four washers, 2 nuts and 2 bolts. 2- Connection to vehicle: You need to remove the Brake lamp assembly by unscrewing the two right side screws so you get put your hand into the back of where you will bolt the license plate holder. To be able to install the bolts your hands have to install the nuts and washers from behind the car sheet metal. No other access available. 3- Bolting Plate to Holder: I lined up the license plate to the plastic removable holder, and drilled four holes in the plastic holder removable part and license plate using the bolts supplied with the new holder. Holes should be tight in plastic part so that the bolts have to be tightened by wrench, this allows the bolts to stay tight in place when later attaching the license. Take some time to establish the best position of the holes. Then install the bolts with bolt head inside and stud outside, so you can attach the license plate after the plastic holder is first pushed into the main assembly using the plastic tabs which lock it into place. Then attach plate with nuts and washers. Tighten carefully, not too excessively. I would say that's its a good product. Just don't do cheap installations using screws, do it the reliable, heavy duty way. Good Luck
