First off, you should only need one battery. At least that was the case for my Onyx 2 Bluetooth Speaker. It's nice to have an extra one and in my case I also have the Onyx 1, so I will be replacing that battery as well. I bought both of my Onyx units refurbished and one thing I noticed is that the battery life was pretty much at the end of its life on both units and wouldn't really hold a charge for longer than an hour maybe at best, so that's why I got these replacement batteries. The installation process is not too complicated. You'll just need to unscrew a few screws after prying the front grill of the speaker off. You can find a YouTube tutorial on how to do this and it shouldn't take you any more than 15 minutes. There was a rubber gasket that was coming off inside of the speaker and I wasn't sure how to get it back in place, so I just pulled it off completely and haven't had really any issues and not sure why it's there to begin with. The only caveat with this replacement battery is that it doesn't come with the little velcro tape that helps secure the battery in its compartment to keep it from rattling around as well as a plastic piece near where the wire connects to the battery that gives you easier access when connecting the battery clip tab to the motherboard. It also doesn't come with the insulation around the wire. I just took the velcro tape off of the old battery and put it onto the new and didn't bother with the insulation piece around the wire or the plastic tab that seems impossible to get off the old one. As far as battery life for the new battery, it lasts for at least 4 hours on a full charge. I think the OEM batteries are supposed to last like 8 hours (although realistically it's also only 4 hours) but I'll take whatever extra life I can get with these newer batteries.

Unfortunately the return window closed. The battery doesn't hold charge. My speaker works for an hour max. I don't recommend this.

I actually used these for a solar torch I had. The solar torch was a higher end model and expensive. After a few years, the internal battery is starting to get really weak. I replaced the battery with by just splicing the red and black wires. These battery worked like a charm, lasts all night long, and seems to be of good quality. Hopefully I will get several years of use of these battery before I have to replace them. Great value for the money.

Got 7.5 years out of the original Onyx 2 batteries. Got less than 6 months out of these garbage replacement batteries. Don't waste your time.
