Good customer service! Replaced bad tree.
The Granny Smith tree is beautiful, full of leaves and has a clear tag marking it. Both trees have solid trunks and were packaged well. They were delayed in transit due to a strange April snow storm leaving more that a foot of snow. The Honeycrisp tree does not have a tag, so I’m assuming that is what it is. It doesn’t have any leaves, either. The dirt it was packed in was pretty dry, so I added water right away. It was 50 degrees today, so I’m hoping the snow will be melted by the weekend, so I can get these in the ground, that was thawed last week with temperatures in the 80’s. I read that the tree is dormant if it doesn’t have leaves, so I’m hoping it will come to life! Update: I contacted the seller after a month when the honey crisp still had not grown leaves. They told me to scratch the bark and if it was green underneath, it was fine. It was green. It still never grew leaves. This spring all of my other apple trees are growing leaves and starting to blossom, but this tree is doing nothing. Update: tree has been replaced.

Wow. It sprung back to life
I received this tree in a box to my door. I unwrapped it; but didn't have a chance to properly plant it for at least two weeks. We were having temperatures in the mid to high 90s with a very hot sun. I thought it would be lucky if it took. I watered down the area where I wanted to plant it. Dug a hole at least three times the size of the root ball. Filled the hole with water and filled in with potting soil and a little of the clay from the surrounding soil. I watered a lot for the next two weeks having the same scalding temperatures in the high 90s during the day. Backtrack. The tree was about 4 to 5 feet tall with many branches but all the leaves were curled up and looked dead. This past weekend the tree sprung to life. There are many new leaves and some of the branches that looked dead when I planted it are now springy and tender with green ends now. I am going to love this tree. I won't expect fruit for another year now, but I am looking forward to those wonder Honey Crisp apples. I have trouble getting trees to my yard since I have no pickup truck and my trailer is out of order. This tree was delivered to my front door. Even though it was over 2 weeks letting it sit in the sun with temps in the mid-90s, it only took two weeks before I had rampant growth. This is a great way . I would like to support my local businesses, but this was much simpler and more possible for me. I am so happy with this product. Thanks much.

Not hardy.
Nothing against this vendor. This is a very twetchy apple variety. Not hardy at all. Insects, birds all love it. Prone to mold damage. Also, expensive. Not worth the fuss!

Arrived in good shape
Arrived in good shape. It lost maybe 1/3 of it's leaves after the stress of replanting. I think that was a result of trying to unfurl the root ball to a minor degree as per the instructions. I ordered another tree from the same company which seemed to start right away with new growth after I did not bother the root ball before planting. Both of them had way more branches and leaves than the ones shown in the review pics.

Great Looking Tree
this tree looks great! I was a little worried about buying one in Nov so late in the year. turns out that the tree is more than what I was expecting. lots of branches that still had leaves and looks really healthy. got in the ground. we will see how it fairs thru the winter here in Wisconsin.

watch the delivery
For the most part my tree is lovely. it looks healthy and it was shipped and delivered quickly. The box says to lay flat, but the Amazon delivery person left it standing up upside down and half the branches are broken. I spliced and taped them up, so hopefully it will be ok. we'll see. Tree has been out in the yard for 5 months now. first 2 it looked pretty good, but it's gotten sadder as the summer went on. I've watered it regularly. It gets lots of sun. it is actually between 2 other like apple trees and they are in great shape. I think this tree isn't going to make it to the end of summer much less through winter.

Nice tree but doesn’t come with the planter like in the picture
The tree came almost a week earlier then estimated delivery date so I was totally unprepared when it showed up outside my door. It was well packaged in a box together with another tree I bought. Unfortunately the delivery person didn’t read the words “lay flat” on the box and instead put the box vertically and because of the way the trees are packaged one of the tree is upside down in the box causing half of the soil to fall all over the place. I was heading out so I quickly unpacked them and put them in back yard. This tree didn’t come with a planter container just bare soil in a bag so it’s a bit wobbly. When I return home I was shocked to find the leaves were all gone. Possibly some deer or other animals tipped over the tree and ate all the leaves. Now I wonder if it can survive...
