The Devil's Game
This is the first book I've read by Chercover and I'll be reading more. The characters make sense to me. The plot captured my attention from the start. What if a biblical miracle was also a secular phenomenon that has repeated multiple times in human history and is re-occurring now?The synopsis of the first book in the second book was intriguing enough to make me want to read the premiere volume next. I suggest other readers start with the first book, "The Trinity" something. "Devil's Game" can stand alone but feels like a "middle" book and seems to have a lot of spoilers for those who haven't yet read it's predecessor. I started with number two because I got it "free" for the price of an honest review. One thing I really loved about this book was the lack of typos! Too many ebooks I've read recently were littered with typographical and format errors that spoiled the flow of the author's narrative!Warning: Some horrifying scenes may be too much for the nightmare-prone.

This second book in the Daniel Byrne Trilogy did not disappoint! The story line continues with many of the characters from the first book, while adding in some fine new ones, too. The settings change as do the crises, but all still revolves around the mysterious phenomenon that made Daniel's Uncle, Tim Trinity, able to correctly predict the future, even if he had no idea he was doing it or how he was doing it. The phenomenon is now called Anomalous Information Transfer Plenty, and two secret factions are vying to control it for reasons known only to them providing the reader plenty of suspense, action and intrigue in this well-written, fast paced romp. I'm just beginning the third book, which is also excellent. Chercover is a very talented writer, with a real gift for fast moving plots, interesting, likable characters and thought provoking dialogue. So glad I decided to read this wonderful trilogy.

Kerplop!
Daniel Byrne makes an interesting protagonist in an action packed novel. I enjoyed much of it and was looking forward to enjoying all of it, but the pairing of Daniel and Kara just did not work for me. We are already being asked to subscribe to some rather unbelievable scenarios in this novel, but the romance between these two main characters seemed so contrived and unnecessary. The novel was sailing along well when this event occurred, and it seemed to distract from the main events, instead heralding the demise of the story. Things began to wrap up fast and the reader is deprived of a satisfactory ending.

Action Packed
Daniel's uncle has been shot. He had the special ability to predict the future. He was also a religious leader, and a scammer who had many followers. Daniel is recruited and trained into a secret organization with great power. This Kindle book is a free Goodreads giveaway that is action packed with lots of twists and turns-very exciting! It was well written with very realistic characters. The story line made you frightened. Could this really happen? The ending left me hanging. The other books in the series are now very appealing.

This book is the 3rd of a trilogy.
You need to read them in order. They are so good!

Good Read!
This is a solid B+ book! It's well worth the time to read, but you definitely have to read this trilogy in order. The Devil's Game is straight forward, and fast pace. I little something on the he negtive side is the book is kind of predictable, not too many twists, but that makes for an easy read.

Book two of this trilogy is also good, but...
The second book in this trilogy continues to be a good read. I will not review any further than that because I am not actually writing a book review. This is a warning! If you are interested in the trilogy, do yourself a favor and pass on this one. Book one & two are both very good. Book 3 is abysmal!

Read book one first
It is best to read book one of the Trinity games first. If I hadn’t read the first book, I would not have fully understood this book. For me, it took a little bit into the reading before it became interesting. I was intrigued by the storyline! The ending of this book, Concluded better than the first one!

Gripping
4.5 stars, A really good sequel, couldn't put it down. Less psychology and less character development than the first, more action, spies and political intrigue, but still I really enjoyed it and it's well narrated. Half a star removed because there's slightly less magic and slightly more spy-by-numbers but honestly it's really great. Narration was also great even though the very last sentence of the book (which is pretty important!!!) Was clipped in my copy. Decided to round up rather than down.

Fast paced thriller
I had read Sean Chercover's first book in the series, 'The Trinity Game' and having enjoyed it looked forward to the next one. I wasn't disappointed, as again Sean Chercover has written a engrossing thriller. Daniel Byrne, a former Roman Catholic priest now working for the mysterious Fleur-de-Lys Foundation is investigating the phenomenon which afflicted his uncle before he was assassinated. He learns that the phenomenon now known as Anomalous Information Transfer (AIT), wasn't exclusive to Tim Trinity and has afflicted many others. Teaming up with a disgraced physician Kara Singh, who also has AIT, Daniel and Kara travel the globe trying to trace the roots of AIT which appears to be a strain of the plague. I won't spoil the story, but will only say it is a fast paced thriller which I really enjoyed. I look forward in anticipation to the final part of the trilogy.

A brilliant book
Excitement and drama from the very first page. The characters are finely drawn and utterly believable. The plot takes you to a conspiracy theorist nightmare. Could this really happen. The scAry thing is elements of the story probably happen every single day under the radar of our everyday lives. There is no war only peacekeeping forces. At least that's what they tell us!!!!!

Appraisal by a Priest
Interesting book, lots of information showing some knowledge of scripture and workings of the Vatican. However, rather far fetched in myopinion with an unsatisfactory conclusion which rather died the death and let down what had gone before. Still awarded four stars as fortwo thirds of the book it kept me guessing and held my interest. It was only make-believe after all.
