Pentair Sta-Rite DS3HF 1.5HP Centrifugal Pump

The installation was very easy - especially since the plumbing lined up replacing the same 18 year old version of this pump. I connected the pvc pipes, primed it, and works flawlessly. I love how quiet it is - you have to get fairly close to it to even hear it. It's rare that an installation goes so smoothly.

The item was exactly what it was supposed to be. it came several days early. The installation was simple and instructions were clear. It is a definite improvement of flow. Good value and quality.

Pump is awesome, and quiet compared to the 10yo pump on the house when we bought it. It was shipped bolted to a plywood frame surrounded by cardboard. The cardboard didn’t hold up totally in shipping but pump seemed fine and worked great once connected and primed.

I had this installed about a month ago and a lot of the blue paint just disappeared. It looks like bad surface prep. I just hope the insides will hold up better than the outsides.

This is my third pump as I live close to the ocean and these pumps take a lot of wear and tear. I attempted to replace my pump with a store-bought brand from Lowes but the quality was not there and the pump only lasted 6 months before I was tired of repriming the pump and ripped it out to get this one again. Fast shipping as I received the pump 2 days earlier than expected.
