I purchased this for a quick wall framing job. It worked as designed except for one big flaw. The string that was provided was wound too tight we therefore when plumbing it on the walls, it sinks lower and touches the ground. I would say that it took several hours for this to happen but it was a issue that stood out that I have not had with other brands. I would not change the string but just be aware.

Perfect. I needed this for a one time use to hang a door and didn't want to spend a lot. It is a lot larger than I expected about 2" long and a heavy weight. Arrived the next day as promised. I didn't have any trouble threading the string or getting it knotted so this would hang straight. The stick is substantial enough to hold the weight of the bob. No issues with design accuracy or sting others have complained about. I was able to complete my project in just a couple minutes.

Does exactly what you want it to do.

Won't roll away on flat surfaces, made well and holds extremely still with well pointed nose down. Rust resistant but I gave it a coat of WD-40 Specialist to insure permanent resistance to corrosion. The string is long enough for most applications. Would buy this item again.

Exactly as expected and works as I thought it would.

String it came with was pretty crappy, but for the price I didn’t mind replacing it. Works as desired.

I'm allergic to stone fruits, so i thought it may be an issue... but bobs plums are okay.

It is well made and does what a hanging weight on the end of a string should do.
