Perfect for family dinners
My husband and I were looking for a good pan to prepare food when we have family dinners. This pan fits our largest heating element, has a lid, it is perfect depth for sautéing, and it is easy to clean. We LOVE it!

Expensive pan warped after just 3 months!
We have other Calphalon pans and we take excellent care of our cookware. This pan is warped after just over 3 months of use. Of course, the warranty is through the manufacturer and you have to pay to have the pan shipped, if they will even replace it. Shipping costs almost as much as the original item. Not good.

Happy Cooking
I have had many sauté pans throughout my marriage of 39 years. Most of my pots and pans are Calphalon. Don’t ask me why I cheaped out on sauté pans. Every sauté pan I had I would take eventually take a hammer to it to flatten out the bottom as the all seemed to get a hump in the middle after time. This new pan is a dream. Sears beautifully on the stovetop. has a metal handle which doesn’t wiggle after time. Has a dome glass lid. Beat of all it is Calpalon quality. My husband even commented after he fried up some bacon, this is the best pan, the bacon doesn’t curl as it did in our other pans. I had to laugh, he doesn’t usually comment on cookware. I use this pan fir everything from pork roast to pasta sauce. It is our new go to pan. Thank you Calphalon for keeping your product standards throughout the years.

Decent pan
I like the pan, but the handle to them pan and the lid can get hot. It works well for sauteing, braising, and shallow frying.

Cook for your entire battalion
I was looking for a larger saute pan than the one I had so I ordered this one. Apparently I didn't realize just how big a 5 quart saute pan is. This sucker is HUGE! It's also heavy so you'll develop some good arm muscles if you use it frequently. All kidding aside, this is a well made, durable, easy to clean pan with all of the quality Calphalon is known for and you'll be grateful for it's hefty size at your next dinner party of family gathering.

Great Pan, but ......
Love this pan, just fried up some goodies in it. Heats evenly, no bowing. Handle cool. However....In the description it states it is 15+ inches circumference ,but they probably meant with the little side handle included. The actual pan is 12". It was smaller than I expected, but it's still a great pan. So if you're looking for a 12". I would recommend! Wash and oil your pan before use, and it's an easy non-stick glide. Nice!

Best pan ever!!!
I had a large pan for the past 15 years. It was always my go to pan for preparing meals for my family of 10. When the non stick coating wore off we finally decided to get a new pan. I searched and compared pans online for hours. I finally chose this pan and I am so glad I did. This pan is better than the original pan I had. It is light weight, easy to clean, and above all it cooks evenly. So glad we finally have the pan we needed for our meals.

Best quality brand. Love it!
This dark gray surface Calphalon pan is the best nonstick surface. I had previously purchased a Calphalon frying pan with a light gray surface and food sticks to it. The higher sides are worth the extra cost as it is more versatile as it holds more and also has less mess when frying.

We really appreciate the size of this pan as you can cook up so many things in it at any one time. The high sides really cut back on grease splatters & the front handle is really convenient when moving the pan about. Comes with a good quality clear lid which really helps in reducing cooking times. A Great Pan!

Cooking a LOT during quarantine and discovered a that our nonstick pans were just a little too small for our family (kids are M16 and F14). This 5qt lidded pan is perfect for everything. The nonstick surface works really well and cleans up really well. Only thing I can’t comment on is the nonstick durability but we are taking every precaution to protect it. I know the shortcomings of nonstick surfaces so I’d be satisfied if we can get a year of use. Keeping my fingers crossed! (For reference we have been very satisfied with All Clad products but they’re very pricey. We’ve been terribly disappointed in Gotham and Henckels nonstick products.)

Very nice size pan. Large so you do get some cool spots around the outside cooking surface but... and lid doesn't fit tight but still a nice large frying pan for whatever you need. Deep enough to do a small chili or such. Love the clear lid. Easy to handle. Very good product. Yes, I would recommend!
