It is large and sits on a giant tree stump on a knoll above my driveway as one approach the entryway. It’s base and size makes it 20 pounds and that is enough to anchor it without all the hassle people are asked to go through to keep many of these from falling over. This one is well packaged and just the right weight. It is a female form of the Buddha but of course bodies of human women are actually similar to mens. There are fat male form Buddhas but the purpose of the Buddha having many forms is to show that it is the spirit of the Buddha that matters and not the body. As a note of interest Prince Siddhartha was Hindu and the first twelve vedas written make up Hinduism. The concept of the Buddha was written and became the 13th Veda of Hinduism. Most Buddhists in that part of the world follow that 13th Veda as a guide. Hinduism accepts it as the final Veda. I suppose you could say it is similar to the Christian bible in that the New Testament is added to the Old Testament. The New Testament followers are considered Christian and those that follow the Old Testament only are Jewish. They think Christ was a prophet but are still waiting for the savior to arrive. Buddhism is unique among what we call religions because adherence to a god concept is not necessary to follow Buddhist teachings. Shinto Buddhism practiced in Japan is a structured form with traditions and rituals like Roman Catholicism. I include this commentary because it is good to be able to explain to people why you have a Buddha in your yard or home. It represents a spiritual view of life without strict rules that teaches that we can all have the essence of the Buddha inside of us and live our lives on earth as if every day here is what is most important. The best people try to live their lives in that light to create as much heaven on earth as possible. You dont need to compete or even believe in a god to enter heaven. You only need to do your best while living here and it all counts. That is what this excellent and sturdy seated Buddha image represents and why you want to display it. I have statues that display many religions along with a few mythological figures as a way of saying that there are many paths to the same destination. You and your guests will enjoy the peaceful feeling brought to your home with this reasonably priced truly substantial image. You are allowed to explain Buddhist thought your own way without worrying that some adherent will correct your thinking though there are always some who will claim you have it wrong. It only means they have more to learn. You are the Buddha and the Buddha is you. Treat yourself and others with compassion on the journey……..and use this display as a daily reminder that what you do that day matters.

Absolutely 🤩! It was a bit more expensive than other similar products on Amazon, but was totally worth it! It looks amazing, and I am pretty sure it can sustain any weather (including snow). It dries up quickly in rain (I poured water over it). The light sandstone is light enough to pick it up, yet heavy enough to keep it in place. And above all, it looks awesome under my oak tree ❤️.

The media could not be loaded. Not as dark as some of the pictures shown by others, but more like the one shown in the description. Not as much contrast. I like it a lot. Nice crisp detail and a size that will not get lost in the garden. It is substantial, but as others have mentioned it is hollow on the bottom. There is a cover that looks as if it could be easily removed and it could be filled with concrete if you think theft might be a problem.I have it inside for the winter. It 'looks' as if it would have been OK for a season or two, but I decided that I would like a little color and spray painted the head and robe gold. I have a urethane coating over the entire statue and I really like it with the gold 'Pop'. It takes some patience to mask, but it is worth the effort, to me anyway.My shepherd mix dog did cause a commotion when she noticed it in the house. The hair on her back and neck stood up straight and Buddha got a pretty fierce welcome. I went with her over to it and she calmed right down. Hey, if it keeps squirrels and cats away that is a bonus.The video is from my cellphone (sorry for the quality) but watching it the statue seems to eerily be alive !!!!!

I Received this item very fast; it was well-packed. Gorgeous and tasteful, the best I have seen for a tasteful garden sculpture. Resin but gray, stone finish that looks like a fine antique sculpture, and I am particular. So beautiful it could be used indoors in an oriental decor. Very large, almost 3 ft high! Most are too small for good visual impact outdoors. Aged, stone-like pattina. The resin is THICK AND heavy enough to stay put in storms and wind, but most could easily lift it, unlike the concrete ones which require 2 people to put in place I had to give up on. NOT PLASTIC or cheap. Very reasonable cost--others this size were $200.00+. 100% A-1--just exactly wht I was looking for in a substantial garden statue!!!

Arrived well packaged in huge box. Up close you can tell there are tiny gobs of stuck-on paint, minor cracks and missing areas of stain, but after a while in the garden I imagine it will just look like it weathered that way. Amazing price for a large, substantial-looking statue. Adds peaceful serenity to my deck, situated amongst some potted plants, and doesn't get dwarfed by them.

This Buddha is the perfect accent to our front yard. I am very happy with this purchase

We ordered this to commemorate a loved one who passed, a Buddhist. We placed it in the back garden, on a pedestal (though it's large enough that that's not strictly necessary), near a bench and bird bath, at the base of a large tree (fitting because the Buddha achieved enlightenment, and exited this world, at the base of a Bodhi tree). His eyes are half closed, he has a look of utter peace and serenity, is seated in the lotus position. His left hand can hold a candle, photo, incense burner, etc. The statue is heavy, impervious to the elements (over a year outside, though in SoCal so no extreme weather). It's substantial, very impressive, we get many compliments on its beauty. It's a continual source of comfort and peace of mind. HIGHLY recommended.
