Replacement Motor XL2000, 580W Motor Kit. Will NOT FIT All ORECKS

The motor went out on our Oreck XL which we found very frustrating because we thought Orecks were supposed to be long-lasting. The rest of the vacuum was fine, so we decided to try replacing the motor. The price of this one is fantastic. It was not difficult to install. We have used the vacuum for several weeks now, and the motor is working great! It seems to have the power of the original. Not sure how long it will last, but so far we are super pleased!

I repaired a Oreck XL vacuum with this motor and it was a direct replacement. It works well, has enough power/rpms to produce great suction. seems to be durable and performs well. decent value over purchasing new vacuum!

Easy to install. Works great. Easy to follow diagram. Great value for the money. Had vacuum running and lights working within thirty minutes of starting. HINT: Detach handle from base before starting, it makes it a lot easier to install the motor in the base.

Motor replaces Oreck brand vacuum motors and seems to be well built, but didn’t fit my Oreck XL Plantinum (U7000ECB) vacuum. Main issue is the shaft connected to the fan housing was not long enough. Needed to be 1-1/4 inches versus the 1 inch shaft that this model has.

Just OK. Well made made. A bit of challenge to get it to fit in the Oreck! Installation can be a challenge. Really would be nice if it fit just like genuine Oreck.... That would be very nice, it it did!

Compared to the cost of a new Oreck vacuum, this $28 motor is a great bargain in extending the life of an existing machine. It's been in use now for two months with no issue. Tip: If you have trouble removing the fan from the shaft of the old motor so it can be installed on the new motor, try this: Use two long tapered wooden shims (like those sold in bundles at Home Depot) on opposite sides of the motor shaft between the fan hub and the motor body. Start them in opposite directions to equalize their lifting effect. Alternate tapping them in so that they gradually "wedge" the stuck fan off the old motor shaft.

This motor fit perfectly in the commercial Oreck upright vac. Easy installation, thanks to the included directions.

For all that are looking this fits oreck 2100 and works great ! Does fit oreck 2100 ** months later review. Motor is working fabulous!
