Good value, easy to install and plenty of power

Bought in May; after the update August 18th it would no longer get recognized in the app. I've tried to re-add it but it will say the device is offline. It pushes great speeds and the PoE works. But without the app you have no management over it including VLAN's, PoE control, etc which I'm sure many people bought this for. Just get a name brand. Their support ended about a week before I noticed I couldn't access anything. I've reached out and no one has replied yet.

I'm using this switch to power 16 IP cameras connected to an NVR. Setup was easy, Recognized and configured the cameras quicker than using the NVR. I downloaded and have been using the app. Configurations are minimal, you can turn the power on and off at each port and reboot the switch remotely. Sturdy box and fast data speeds.

For the price, this is a very good value. Gigabit connections, 16 port, Poe, app management, Vlan, very quiet. Although I aim a fan at it in the closet. Just needed to get a longer power cord for it, otherwise, it works great for a small home!

This switch is replicating ports for a ReoLink 32 Channel NVR. I wound up buying TWO of these so we had the headroom to MAX out the cameras that can hook into the NVR. The switch works for my application. Had ZERO issues getting POE cameras to power up and connect and record to the NVR. BUT there is a caveat the switch DOES NOT WORK with Ubiquiti Access Points... I had the need to test AP delpoyment so swapped the switch to the main router to powerup U6 Pros.. Initially I thought I purchased faulty access points... but to be defective 3 for 3 - it had to be me right? So to test I used just power injectors from the router and all 3 APs powered up. Purchased another brand's POE swtich and the APs powered up with no issues and wifi mesh solid and fast. So all in all plug and play for POE cameras but when it comes to Ubiquiti AP's I would stay away from this switch and switch (yes all puns intended) to something else.

Works until it doesn't - ports start failing under 4 years life. Purchased Nov 2021. Ports started failing the summer of 2025. It's kept in a cool, dry garage, the POE is not under any strain. First port failed two months ago. I just got around to troubleshooting my printer - turns out another TWO ports on the switch have failed - I tried switching to the adjacent port and it didn't work. I used a different Ethernet cable each time. Only when I switched to a port in a different part of the switch did it start to work again.

Llevo unos días con él instalado y trabaja excelente. Para finales de este mes estaré configurando el network switch con VLAN, ya que soporta esa configuraciones. Cada puerto es POE y por cada puerto puedes configurar diferentes VLAN.

I have 4 of these from this supplier. The basic switch functionality is as expected but having to use the app to configure these is a bit unsettling in this day and age. I wasn't too concerned at first but now, having experienced these units for about a year, I've replaced them with proper web managed devices which can be entirely managed locally without the need to register the units off shore and rely on a custom app. Best practice is to block any managed switch devices from communicating with their HQ using firewall rules and if you plan to use these innexpensive devices, then after configurating them, to isolate them further to a completely untrusted network vlan. My recommendation is to not purchase these units and to send suppliers a message that this business model isn't acceptable. Provide a firmware update with a web based configuration and cut the link to head office.
