Final review in- Reviews coming in phases I, Ii,
Final review- I am pleased to say that I have contacted customer care, and they have responded with great timing and attention to my concerns. My first concerns was the front hub giving off rubbing sounds intermittently , for which I provided video. I forwarded them recorded data(scooter mobile app) for my battery capacity and length of trips. My clip came undone from the base. These could happen on any well made item. They did not hesitate and have shipped a replacement scooter. I could not be more pleased with the ease in which we found a working resolution. Isn’t that a part of what every after purchase customer care should contain. Great work from the customer care team at iScooter! To recap: I was pleased with the speeds the scooter is able to reach. The portability is excellent, I’m able to commute on train and bus with ease. I have no doubt that I get more miles between charges with the replacement scooter. Side note, the headlamp and tail light are powerful and safe Any hill that I’ve encountered have been no challenged . The iScooter 1S is worth your money for it’s price point I am 3 days in. - Battery life so far, throughout 3 full charges have averaged 9 miles, on mostly smooth even surfaces, mostly flat terrain, and the hill slopes no greater than 15 degrees. - I am so far really frustrated that I cannot get this scooter to go past 15 mph. I have the app and it is properly paired with the scooter. No amount of configuring has approached 16 mph in ideal conditions. - To be fair, I have not yet contacted the customer care contacts at iScooter. They may have a fix and I will allow for this, however I remain skeptical that they will help extend the range in miles that the battery pack has shown to supply on a full charge and near ideal conditions. _ future reviews ] upon further trials -Now more than 6 days in. (July 26) I have now achieved speeds surpassing 20mph, really decent , and necessary for my city commute as I transfer to and from public transportation. The folding and unfolding of the scooter is now painless , pops open and snaps closed smoothly. Battery life is still an issue as I holdout hope that I can get more than 9 miles per full charge. This is how much I’ve been averaging with typical speeds of 15 mph, mostly smooth and level terrain. I weigh only 184. (I have not reached out to the vendor so far) In case Ii would have to return this item, should the battery capacity not extend itself, I have started the automated return process and Idid not encounter any uncomfortable hurdle in doing this. This is always good for the consumer, thanks Amazon. Updates coming.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!!!
This scooter is definitely a worth while purchase. So far I've been using it for 2 days and its still working at the same efficiency. So, here are a few pros and cons I have for this scooter. Pros: -The scooter is faster than it looks on video (Maybe because you're riding it). -It is very easy to setup and is not too heavy. Folding it and turning it on/off is very easy. -The app makes it easy to control the scooter, as you can control how fast the scooter can go in cruise mode and in sport mode. -It has a pretty decent range, although I didn't test it for how many miles it can go for. I can say that the battery doesn't drain. -It has 4 lights; 1 in the front, 1 in the back (this light will flash when you hit the brakes, very useful!) and 2 on the sides of the back wheel. -It has a bell you can ring to alert people. -The brakes are awesome Cons -It doesn't go exactly 19 mph like the title says. You need to download the Minirobot app to even increase the limit to 18mph, and it won't go faster (It's default speed is 15mph). -The scooter is a front wheel drive. This may or may not be a con, but i believe that it might have been able to go faster if it was a back wheel drive. -You can hurt your finger(s) when unlatching the hook that keeps the stem of the scooter intact whilst riding. It takes a lot of pressure to get it unhooked (which is good, although it makes it feel like you're going to break it. When I received my scooter, I received all of the parts I needed with nothing missing or damaged. I bought this scooter to get me to work faster and this is probably one of the best scooters in the $300-$400 range that'll get me to where I want to be quickly, efficiently, and safely. 10/10, would buy again. Don't have any hesitations when buying this scooter. Soon, I'll upgrade to a scooter that can go 40 mph (Like the Valor Eagle One). But for now, I'll be happily zooming down the street with my iscooter. UPDATE!! Its been a few months since I bought this product and the scooter still works as if I just bought it! Nothing is in need of replacement, it still reaches the 18 mph, and it is a great product overall! However the app doesn't stay connected to your scooter, so your scooter will only stay locked while your phone is at a close enough distance. UPDATE 2!! OK! We are officially ending 2022, and my scooter is still going on strong! I still get 18 mph, its quick to charge, and there is nothing that needs to be replaced yet. Keep in mind that i use the scooter at least once a week. This is a GREAT scooter to buy when it comes to quality. Just be sure to assemble it properly! Now, i havent needed customer service for anything, but I am sure that the company who makes this scooter is good with customer relations. I still hurt my fingers when trying to pull off the latch that keeps the stem of the scooter connected to the base, which is good because it shows how safe the scooter is. Anyways, ill make another update and add photos soon! BUY THIS SCOOTER!!

There is NO customer service - at all
I bought this scooter for my son for Christmas because the reviews were good for kids, and their website promised excellent customer service. We live in Colorado and the weather has been les than ideal, so my son has ridden this less than a dozen times in the last couple months. While it was working, he liked it well enough and it seemed sturdy. But then a few weeks ago, the thing just shut off and stopped working and never turned on again. The front wheel got really hot, too, which was weird. I tried charging it for a whole day and nothing happened. So I decided to call their so-called "excellent" customer service to see how I could fix it. It went to straight to voicemail and I left a message. A woman called me back with a crying baby and barking dogs in the background to take some more information. I could barely hear her over the chaos, but she said someone from tech support would call me back shortly. The day came and went. The next day came and went. I called again and left another voicemail. The same woman called me back with even louder chaos, and said there was a queue of people they needed to take care of and to send an email instead. So I sent an email. Two days passed. Then I got a response with a form letter, asking me the same questions I had already answered for Chaos Woman twice. I answered them yet again, explaining that I had no idea what was wrong with the scooter and that I needed to speak to an actual person to sort it out and try to get it repaired or replaced. Two days passed again. A response came back from "Anna" who said they would send me a battery, which would take another 5-8 days. I replied that I was not sure it was actually the battery tat was the issue, and that - not for nothing - but I don't know how to replace said battery, and the manual that came with the scooter says that for questions about the battery to contact customer service. Which, as anyone can see, is a catch-22 of the worst kind. I asked again to have an actual person contact me, with no response. Another day came and went. I tried calling the customer service number again only to have the voicemail option come up once more, then decided to call amazon instead. The folks at Amazon kindly extended my return window another couple of days, since it had expired, so I could send back the defective scooter to this ridiculous company. I am immediately packing it today and sending it back. I would never recommend buying anything from this iscooter company. Their claims of being "passionate about providing dedicated customer support" are completely false. It is literally impossible to get a person on the phone, and they could care less about helping people with defective items once they have your money.

Perfect scooter for kids
My kiddo absolutely loves this electric scooter! He rides it to school and takes it everywhere. The battery life is impressive — lasts much longer than I expected. It’s sturdy, smooth, and a lot of fun. Definitely a great purchase!

Perfect buy!
I bought this for my 9 year old son. The size is perfect for him, or we can go for a ride if we want to. Amazing setting you can adjust through your phone. We started him off with a lower max speed and a kick start push off and have increased it as he does better at riding. We now just have him at the regular setting to go without the kick/push starting. I really love that you cn have some kind of control to help your kids improve. The charge lasts a long time. Haven't ran out yet. We charge it randomly. Has a light and a bell!! It folds up easy if you want to take it on the go or store it. The tires are fatter than others we seen and opted into this one for that reason. We feel more secure with him riding it. We do go for walks and is sometime on dirt trails around the houseand has been steady. It's light weight. So far so good! I would for sure recommend this! Kids or adults!

Great for commute but heavy
Overall, I am thrilled to finally have an electric commute. I am excited about leaving for work and coming home each day because I get to use my new toy. However, there are a few quirks people should know about before buying. I have had this scooter for 4 days and ridden it 5 times (to work twice). I am pretty sure the battery is lead, but I can't find the information anywhere. It is much too heavy to be lithium ion (30 pounds total for the scooter, and I think over half is the 7.5 Ah battery), and the manual says to keep it fully charged and charge it as quickly as possible when it gets drained. Good advice for a lead battery, and not for a lithium battery. Conveniently, I don't drain the battery very far. My battery is still at 73% after my 5 mile round trip commute. (I weigh 120 lb, plus 10 lb backpack, flat commute both ways with a few stop signs, going 18 mph almost the whole time.) The manual says 14-17 miles for a 150 lb person going 10 mph, which is consistent with my numbers. It takes roughly 2 hours to charge back up from 73%. The top speed is 18 mph, not 19 as advertised. On the app it says 18.6, on the scooter's display it says 18. I did not do an independent check. The speed is software limited - the motor could go much faster. I can only get cruise control to work at top speed. Though this top speed is adjustable through the app, and can be quickly toggled between two user-set values with the scooter's button. According to the manual, the scooter's regenerative brakes kick in as soon as I release the throttle, and this brake is smooth and not aggressive. This is kind of nice, but mostly annoying when I just wanted to coast through a turn. The throttle is a little jumpy, hard to smoothly accelerate, which is not great for turns. But honestly it's fine and I am already getting better. There is also a hand brake like on a bike. Cruise control is released when pulling the brake or pushing the throttle. The platform is not quite big enough for two man feet, either toe to heel in length or side by side in width. It works well for me though because I like to ride with my feet diagonal to the platform anyway, and it feels the right size that way. One foot straight and one foot across or diagonal also works fine. Bigger platform than standard kids scooter. Two features are great: built in front and rear lights for night riding, and reinforced rear mudflap. The front light is quite bright and aims slightly down, so it illuminates up to about 10 ft in front of the scooter. I think I will use a headlamp to aim a bit further out. On a standard scooter, the rear mudflap is the brake, so I like that they reinforced it just in case I tried to revert back to old habits. Note that a smartphone is a must. The speed limit defaults to some lower level, and you have to install the free app to change it. There are a few other things in the app, but not much. The app lets you see the instantaneous voltage, current, and power of the battery, but I can't look at my phone while driving! So I still have no idea what power I am drawing at full speed. The app also lets you lock the scooter. Presumably only that phone can unlock it, and I don't know what happens if your phone dies. Or maybe any phone can unlock it, in which case I don't know what the point was. I don't bother with locks - my workplace is safe and I bring it inside at home. The folding mechanism is pretty slick, though I suspect it will break at some point. The kickstand is fine but doesn't make it particularly stable - my daughter accidently knocks it over constantly even though it is folded and leaning on the kickstand (it falls away from the kickstand easily). The display is easy to read (shows speed) in full sunlight. Not much suspension, but I am doing fine going top speed through some rough pavement and thick speed bumps by just bending my knees. On bumpy surfaces my glasses vibrate, which makes it very hard to see straight. Overall, works very well as a budget commuting scooter. It costs me 4 cents to recharge, vs $2 in gas for my Honda Accord going to the same place. The pricier scooters go faster, weigh less, have suspension, have more natural throttles, and have turn signals. I docked one star for the product not being honest with me about what type of battery this thing has - I'm still not sure. But it's working well.

Very good scooter for adults!
I was skeptical because of the price but this scooter is great. I can get it to 16mph and my husband can get it to 15mph. Battery charge lasts a long time. It’s a little hard to fold and unfold at first but it loosens up. Not too heavy. Does good on rough terrain like trails and gravel, but vibrates you a lot. I am a middle aged woman who has never really rode a scooter much and I feel fine using it. A little scary at first because it’s fast (15 mph on a scooter is no joke to a newbie. Lol), but amazing when you get used to it. Easy to carry when folded. Not too heavy. Easy to get in and out of the car. Great for getting around RV parks, trails, or neighborhoods. Lights are bright so it’s cool for night use. Would be good for a short commute as well. All in all… very happy with the purchase! Been a few months and still love it!

DID NOT WORK OUT- updated
Update: I encountered some problems w the scooter but iScooter Customer Service has contacted me to help resolve the issues. The scooter worked fine for maybe 2 weeks. We got it for my son to get around at college, he is attending a commuter campus, did not take his car and uses the scooter to get to and from his campus and within the downtown area where his campus is located. At about 3 weeks the battery would no longer stay charged. I have been back and forth with Amazon and iScooter to get a new battery. Amazon refers us to the the manufacture b/c the purchase was within 30 days. iScooter does not answer the C/S line and it takes them 48 hours or more each time to respond to emails. They shipped a battery and it was lost/never received. After contacting them again they researched and shipped another batter that we still do not have. At this point the scooter has not worked for almost 4 weeks. Amazon finally agreed to refund me my money for the scooter once we send it back. One rep told me to take the scooter and return slip to the dorm front desk where UPS would pick it up, they will not take it without a box, now I have to pay $40 for a box @ UPS b/c newsflash we no longer have the box it came in. I have spoke w more Amazon reps that I can recall and each one has given different resolutions. The latest one states they will reimburse me for the cost of the box once I send the receipt we shall see. Also do not waste time and $ w the extended warranty through amazon not once did they allow me use it to get a replacement scooter. This is ridiculous and has been very frustrating.
