Impressed with how good this tool is
The media could not be loaded. I purchased a Green Works brand initially because they were less expensive, returned it right after opening the box as it seemed really cheap and short. Since I already use Skil cordless I decided to spend a little more to get this brand for battery compatibility. Used it to trim up an oak tree. First, this has three pieces making it longer than most, trimming up the tree used 1 1/2 batteries which is not bad considering some cuts were close to 8” in diameter. The stock blade cut through this oak tree like butter. The tool is heavy but gives you the feeling that the quality is good. The strap seems useless and should not be used IMO. One disappointment was a rivet popped out during assembly. Definitely a QC or design issue. I’d buy this tool again and would recommend to anyone else. Pictured limbs cut are probably 500 lbs or more for reference on how much you can get done on 1.5 battery charges. I used the tool for limb cutting, Skil reciprocating saw with Diablo branch blades to cut down limbs to size once on the ground (avoiding damaging the chain blade near the dirt), Fisgar loppers with the gear to make quick work of small pieces. This combination seemed ideal for my project.

Does a good job, but very top heavy and I am a strong, physically fit male. Needs better balance.
Chain Saw does a good job overall on cutting. The support pole is large in diameter and heavy to prevent bending, and the adjustable height is nice. On the flip side, this saw is very top heavy and the wife could barely hold it up. The shoulder strap is too short even with max adjustment. Their needs to be some kinda of mount or slot for the shoulder strap to secure to further up the support poles. It does the job but needs to be improved upon in design.

This works well!
This trimmer works well - it cuts 4” dia. branches with no problems. You have to be able to hold its weight when you are at the limit of its reach.

Gets the job done
I was worried about getting this, assuming the 20v would be less powerful than the 40v model, but it powered through all the overhanging tree limbs I needed to remove on my property. It sawed through both green and dead wood like a butter. After cutting through about ten different limbs, I still have a half full oil resorvior. My only complaint is that the oil does leak from the blade when left alone, so I have to store it in a special place in my shed.

Great saw
The saw I got from Amazon was listed as new, but was used and damaged - the oil reservoir was a bit smashed and leaked all over my garage floor. I returned it to Amazon and bought one from Walmart. it arrived on time (Amazon was late) and undamaged. The saw get a little heavy for me, an older guy, but it cuts through wood like a champ! I trimmed a lot of low hanging limbs in an hour. Much better than the old saw on an extendable pole with a cutter blade on it. I am hopeful I'll get several years of work from this Skil saw. Happy with it.

cheap simple pole saw
I've been using this for a couple of weeks at our farm and it does give a quick simple way to cut small limbs 6-8 feet above you. Couple of issues: the chain bar slips loosing the chain. The tighter for the bar is a ridiculous joke. Very bad design. The bar oil tank leaks and hanging it in a manner as the manufacture recommends will give you a nice puddle of oil below it.

Well worth the money
I've used the dewalt polesaw and this seems just as good at a fraction of the price. Used the little 2ah battery that came with it, lasted about 2 hours and still had 1 of 4 bars leftW which was my biggest surprise. 10/10 would recommend.
